“an okay place to stay”
card keys were hard to activate the room doors - had to push in and out three or four times for the activation - had to return the card key twice to the front desk due to not opening the door. - nice having the bathroom sink outside of the bathroom - continental breakfast nice options, but waffle maker needed extra spray for not sticking.
“Not impressed”
The hotel needs renovation. It has a run down appearance.
“last place on earth”
i purchased these rooms for a client and my parents and the condition of the rooms and the general condition of this hotel was not acceptable ive stayed at this hotel in the past and im not sure what has happened in this establishement but i was absolutelly put out by this stay ............its the first time expedia has failed me
“Learned my lesson”
The hotel was okay, the staff were very pleasant, and the surrounding area was just as remembered. The only problem was we did not have things the way we expected as far as accommodations. Next time a check with the hotel after booking, and before arriving to confirm accommodations will make sure this doesn't happen again. A bit of a costly lesson to learn though. Three nights for a room we didn't use just because we held the keys so the hotel couldn't rent the room without refunding us. Catch 22! Live and learn =)
“The Basics”
The staff was friendly, the room was clean and we received a hot breakfast. No surprises.
“unholy, noisy stay”
The hotel was not kept up well, carpets, bedding needing a thorough cleaning. The staff did not control a very large reunion group that took over the hotel, with loud noise, screaming, running down halls, swearing, etc. This happened all 3 nights of our stay. desk clerk seemed powerless to control it. had a young child that could not fall asleep with the loud noise and then we were all awakened around 2;00 am with people running, swearing, yelling outside our door. A disaster. Management needed to get these people out and show courtesy to the rest of guests wishing for a peaceful night. I would not go back ever and can not recommend evern though the hotel was priced fairly and in a good location. This has turned me off and made me wary of ALL Days Inn properties.
“Good overnight motel”
The Days Inn at Middleboro has BIG, COMFORTABLE and CLEAN rooms with all the nice little touches you'd expect from a big hotel chain. This is not the Ritz and it can't be compared on those terms, I'd be happy to recommend this as an overnight motel
“As expected”
The hotel was as expected.
“Nothing worth coming back to”
Overall the room was outdated, small, and needing some TLC. Not a place I would be in a hurry to come back to again.
“Go somewhere else”
The only reason to stay at this place is price. The staff is pleasant and accommodating but the place is run down and neglected. The ice machine didn't work, the dryer didn't work, the TV reception was poor and it wasn't very clean (cobwebs on the windows, grimy tub bottom). Coffee and condiments were sporadic.. Stairwells were smoky. Breakfast was just okay. The commuter train station is only about 1/2 mile away, but the ride into Boston (South Station) is just over an hour. Pay a few bucks more and go somewhere else if you're staying more than one night. If we hadn't prebooked and prepaid 4 night marlenes, we would have gone somewhere else.
