This motel has a clean, very well lit parking lot and easy access from the 99. Check in was quick and easy, even though the office was locked when I arrived there was someone who arrived quickly to check me in.
The bed area of the room looked nice. A medium size refrigerator, microwave and single cup coffee maker were available, although the coffee maker did not have a tray to put the coffee in, so coffee was made like tea by putting coffee pouch in cup and running hot water over it. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Table lamps had electrical outlets which made phone charging convenient. In stark contrast to the bed area was the bathroom. The bathroom was old. At night the shower is very dark with no light near it, only light over the sink. The sink, tile floor and countertop are very old (1960s ish). But they all were operational. One bath towel had a hole in it, one had stains.
Location: on the 99, with a train track across the 99 so you hear traffic and trains.
I would stay here again, but my husband would not.
Calling this Gateway to Yosemite is odd, as it is far from Yosemite.
