Mendoza Hotel Guide - Romantic Hotels in Mendoza, Argentina

Parador del Angel in Chacras de Coria was difficult for our taxi driver to find, but that was the only negative. The small hotel was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful. It was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The owners were available for advice when we needed help, but also allowed you to plan your own activities and find your own adventures in the comfortable town and surroundings. We will definitely return to the Parador del Angel!

Mercedes was a most cordial hostess. I would recommend this B&B to anyone wanting a charming and cozy place to stay in Mendoza.

Very friendly, professional and tentative staff. The hotel it self is well kept and attention to detail is there. The food and wine is excellent. Rooms are large and clean. The only negative is that WIFI is not available in the rooms at a reliable connection.

Quiet location in a beautiful old building with lots of character and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was modern and perfectly equipped. Service was fantastic as was the wine and food. I liked that I had access to a kitchen and could help myself to a cup of tea first thing in the morning.

We had a absolutely wonderful time in Lujan de Cuyo B&B. Ignacio Sanche (he goes by Nacho) wasthe best host, and made every effort so that we would have a great time in his country. He and I were in touch months in advance, and since we were going to be visiting during the Christmas holidays when many wineries are closed, he helped plan our trip so that we could maximize our enjoyment of the wine country, and go to the mountains on the days that the wineries were likely to be closed. My husband knows a lot about Argentine wines, so we drove ourselves rather than take tours. We gave him a list of wineries we were interested in, and he got us reservations at those, or in close substitutes. He planned the route we should take to visit the wineries so that we did not have to drive back and forth unnecessarily. When he made the reservations, he planned each of our 3 days of wine country exploration such that we visited a couple of them first and lunch would always be at the third winery, usually in a spectacular location. After a multi-course lunch with wine pairings, we did not want to eat much. So we ate by the poolside at the B&B, a dinner of the most delicious empanadas, fresh salads and fruit for dessert. Paired with a nice bottle of wine, what more could we ask for? We have been to wine countries in 4 continents, but I must say that the experience in Mendoza was the best, and our stay in Lujan de Cuyo B&B was the cornerstone of that experience. Villa Victoria is beautiful - a stately old home close to many vineyards & run by some friendly staff. The location is wonderful if you are there for the vineyards & wine, and the rooms are clean & comfortable (and have air con - a must during a Mendoza summer!). Ignacio & Giselle were wonderful hosts, and went over & above to make sure all of our daily activities were booked, cars/taxis were organised & dinners booked at local parillas / restaurants. The pool was a welcome retreat at the end of the very hot Mendoza summer days, and the grounds were manicured & maintained beautifully. Breakfast was prepared every morning & eaten in the formal dining room, and was a simple selection of fresh fruit, bread, croissants, ham & cheese & condiments, cereal with grins & yoghurt plus of course coffee & tea. This simple breakfast is typical of South America and a lovely light start to the day. Several nights we even cooked & stayed at the Villa for dinner which was lovely - there are so many places to sit outside and enjoy your meal on the property that it was just as enjoyable as being at a restaurant.
