Parador del Angel in Chacras de Coria was difficult for our taxi driver to find, but that was the only negative. The small hotel was absolutely beautiful, comfortable, and peaceful. It was exactly what my husband and I were looking for. The owners were available for advice when we needed help, but also allowed you to plan your own activities and find your own adventures in the comfortable town and surroundings. We will definitely return to the Parador del Angel!

We had a fantastic stay. The staff are amazingly helpful. We probably arrived a little unprepared as we had no bookings for wineries or tours or anything. Melissa on the front desk organized a tour, a driver, a rental car and bookings for the next part of our trip in the Uco Valley, even though we would not be staying with them then. The light dinner with a glass of their wine overlooking their vines is wonderful & the pool in the heat of summer was a real treat.
Quiet location in a beautiful old building with lots of character and beautifully furnished. The bathroom was modern and perfectly equipped. Service was fantastic as was the wine and food. I liked that I had access to a kitchen and could help myself to a cup of tea first thing in the morning.
Not enough can be said about the hospitality and helpfulness of the B&B's owner, Ignacio Sanchez. Nacho, as he is known, runs a beautiful B&B located on the edge of Lujan de Cuyo and the border with Maipu. It is perfectly located for the adventurous wine buff who likes to bicycle from winery to winery (Nacho can arrange for a bike to be delivered to you at the B&B), or tourists like ourselves who wanted a car to drive us around. Nacho arranged three days of wine tasting and a day exploring the Andes with little advance warning. I was amazed that he was able to coordinate such quality venues and didn't fail to think of every detail. Nacho must have strong relationships with the wineries because each one offered a truly unique and exciting experience.
Taxis are fairly cheap in Argentina, so it is much more economic to take a taxi to visit the wineries in Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu. We spent around 300-400 pesos each day that we visited wineries in this area. It is also cheaper to have a driver to take you to Valle de Uco if you are traveling with another person than to book with one of the wine tours operating out of Mendoza. We spent 1400 pesos for a driver, total, which is far less than the US $150 per person that would have been charged by one of the tour operators!

Villa Victoria is beautiful - a stately old home close to many vineyards & run by some friendly staff.
The location is wonderful if you are there for the vineyards & wine, and the rooms are clean & comfortable (and have air con - a must during a Mendoza summer!).
Ignacio & Giselle were wonderful hosts, and went over & above to make sure all of our daily activities were booked, cars/taxis were organised & dinners booked at local parillas / restaurants.
The pool was a welcome retreat at the end of the very hot Mendoza summer days, and the grounds were manicured & maintained beautifully.
Breakfast was prepared every morning & eaten in the formal dining room, and was a simple selection of fresh fruit, bread, croissants, ham & cheese & condiments, cereal with grins & yoghurt plus of course coffee & tea. This simple breakfast is typical of South America and a lovely light start to the day.
Several nights we even cooked & stayed at the Villa for dinner which was lovely - there are so many places to sit outside and enjoy your meal on the property that it was just as enjoyable as being at a restaurant.
