“updated, great location, perfect for families and couples”

My husband and I go to Memphis every winter and usually stay at this hotel if it's not booked - it's right across the street from the Peabody and block from Beale. Can't beat the location! The hotel has been remodeled and updated and our room was clean and ready when we got there. Our bathroom was a bit small, but worked and everything was clean. No complaints!

Flight- wonderful restaurant. Great for romantic dinners and dinner selections were great- especially for seafood.

“Perfect location downtown”

Thought the hotel was very good. Rooms were clean, front desk helpful and great location for downtown Memphis and the St. Jude marathon. Negatives - the parking garage needs some definite improvement Not sure if it was overcrowded because of the marathon, but there was not enough parking spaces and when they did become available were oddly placed. However, overall, good stay.

JUST REALLY ENJOYED BEALE STREET, THE RIBS AT BLUES CITY CAFE ARE EXTRAORDINARY AND DELICIOUS...THE PEOPLE OF MEMPHIS ARE VERY NICE. GRACELAND WAS GREAT. I RECOMMEND TAKING THE MEMPHIS CITY/GRACELAND TOUR..TOURGUIDE, MICHELLE, VERY HUMOROUS AND INFORMATIVE....

“My family loves this hotel”

Our family stays in this hotel often for downtown Memphis getaways. It is very convenient to Beale Street, the Orpheum and Autozone Field, you can walk to any of these locations in 2-3 minutes. The pool is fun in the summer and right over the entrance to the Rendezvous, you can't get closer to Memphis bbq than that!

Area recommendations

My family enjoys downtown Memphis, we like seeing Broadway musicals at the Orpheum Theater, walking around Beale Street, eating at the Rendezvous and seeing baseball games at Autozone Field.

Getting around

Park you car and walk everywhere, and don't miss riding the trolley. If you catch the trolley and take it around for a full loop, you can see what the area has to offer and plan your day around what you see. It's a great way to scope out the downtown area.

“Great location”

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our room was on the 12th floor and was very quiet. We had no issues with street noise as some others have stated. Great access to Beale St. and all Memphis downtown.

“Convenient to Beale Street”

Great location and great service. Only complaint was the shower drain was a little slow, but I'd definitely stay there again. For the price and convenience to Beale Street it can't be beat.

“did its job”

we got to the hotel was what i expected we got a 2 bed room the only thing i can say i didnt like was the shower the drain was level to the tile floor and it was always and ocean when you are done lots of towels to make it safe to walk around in there.

beale street was fun we did go to sun records rock and soul museum and stax museum. careful the cab drivers are awful! we nearly died and the way from the airport NO JOKE!!

“not impressed”

the 3rd shift manager when we arrived was not helpful with the hotels greating the manager was border line rude was more into the other people that worked there like we were bothering her by checking in .we prepaid for the room ahead of time she charged us for the room again .we had to go though the day manager to fix that and a charge of $1.65 was on the bill for no reason .the room was respectively clean but the bathroom was not looked like it was just picked up from the last guest not cleaned.charged $12bucks to park and the parking garage was full we parked on the street till later that moring till a spot was open.i would think when someone checks in they would be told where the room is located .about the hotel i.e pool ,resturant hours,any greating would been nice other than heres your key theres the elevator . the other holiday inns should be upset with this all the otherones ive stayed at were above customer friendly and were above standard on hospitality
