Room was suppose to have mini fridge, and microwave. It didn't have mini fridge like it stated. Bedspread was stained. We ask for a new Bedspread and about a mini fridge. They never got back to us and our food went bad. The air didn't work very well and we were hot all night Then we got woke up at 7.30 from a smoke alarm going off. I called and ask what was going on and was told they had a mishap with the smoke alarm. Our complaints, we feel are validated. What makes it okay with anyone to pay the charged amount to walk in to a 19in. Tv, the soap dish, and couple other things that fell or was removed from ahower, no shampoo, conditioner, a tiny bar of hand soap to ahower with, no coffee pot, no plastic cups, ....Nothing!! The description of rooms should not be falsified, i suggest taking it down or state the truth. We will not go back here ever again and think we should be given atleast a partial refund. Very disappointing in this booking. I pray that things get better for the owners, but 2 employees in housekeeping, total for that entire hotel is not going to fix anything and if the proper items can not be provided, then maybe it opened too soon. Hope all improves as we wouldnt want others to have this experience.

The pictures on the website are clearly outdated. The room was run-down. There were holes in the ceiling and the bathroom wall. Although the sheets were clean, the mattresses were worn out and not comfortable. The hotel is basically in the middle of a field. The parking lot is behind the building, not viewable from the street. There was a sign on the inside of the door that instructed us to keep the door locked at all times for our safety. It is not a place for families or women traveling alone.

Stayed here not knowing the area or the hotel! The hotel was in real bad shape! The bed spreads were stained and dirty, the flooring was coming apart the shower curtain had mildew all over it. There was mold on the ceiling and my wife cut her leg on a piece of metal sticking out from the bed! If it weren’t for us being exhausted from driving 14 hrs. We would have left!

Spill hot sauce on a sheet and you get no air cond
After staying here nearly a week with multiple rooms on the night we had to book another room we were given a room without ATV and another room with no air conditioning even though it was 90゚ out all because one of my employees spilled hot sauce on a sheet the day before and was told by management to give us the bad rooms we'll not be back staying at the super 8 across the street tonight how about you take $20 out of my there's automatic deposit for the night we spilled hot sauce and give me back The $173 I spent to spend on 2 rooms that were inadequate thank you

Low budget motel
Front desk lady was super nice. Hotel itself not so much. Bed and pillow were not comfortable. Shower had no water pressure and was very short. Person above us was up all night walking across floor and dropping things. Strange folks walking around. At edge of town w only McDonald's close to get food.

Super friendly staff. Room was clean. Couldn't get the heat to turn on so it was pretty cold night. In the morning upon waking up, it was as if someone was smoking in our room all night. Exhaust from the interstate right behind the building? Your guess is as good as mine!

We did not know the area when we made the reservation. It was not pleasant. It was raining and the floors got soaking wet/ muddy because there was nothing to wipe the shoes/floors with. It was not as clean as it should have been . I won’t stay there again. It was very depressing

Disgusting
This place was disgusting. Smelled like urine. Good thing we arrived late at night for a quick sleep otherwise we would have left. Junk all over the place and definitely some questionable people staying there.

Quiet, I like the fact that it is close to the corn field. However, due to the technical issues, we got the smoking room instead of the nonsmoking room. Our rooms were not ready, dead flies all over the floor, and no hot water.

Motel "Deep 6"
What a joke property. Slow and inept desk attendant, took 20 minutes to run my card. Then the "manager?" came in and informed me that there was no hot water. Couldn't get a plumber or a part.....was trying to fix it himself. Then took an additional 5 minutes to run a refund. Of course the attendant had to make three phone calls to complete the process. Stayed at this property a couple of years ago, found it marginal by Motel 6 standards then, was will to give it a try after 11 hours on the road.....never again!!! Total DUMP!!!!!!

Don’t judge a book by its cover
Check in clerk was so sweet! It was after midnight when we checked in and she was so very pleasant, which made check in so easy and smooth. She gave us a choice of which room we wanted. The hotel itself seems a “little” run down, the outside trash needed emptied some time ago. Once in the room, was surprised that it was as “nice” as it was from the outside looks. They have redone the flooring, which helped them a lot in appearance. The room itself was very clean, with bedding and surfaces. The phone was a push button old school phone (the upgrade of the rotary phone)…Just made me giggle a bit but nothing to complain about. It was a good stop for a nights rest during our road trip.

Sweating in Mattoon
Air conditioning wasn’t working well and difficult to operate. My white towels had dark gray marks on some of them. Lampshades didn’t have securing nuts on them. Towel marks made me worried about cleanliness.

The entrance had a “off” odor as we walked in to register. The parking lot looked like an alley in need of serious repair. The attendant assigned us a room that upon entering the room that was already occupied. We turned around immediately, notified the attendant of her inattentive error and returned the key and left the premises! Hotels.com promptly returned our charge! Hope they never list this motel 6 again.

Ok for a quick stop to sleep.
Very run down and the whole property was filthy. Room was ok. Bed was clean but floor was dirty. Couldn’t walk without shoes or slippers. Needs a major cleaning.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
The whole stay was horrible. I can deal with some things but this was just awful.We got to the room and it was dirty. So bad that we didn’t even stay, we slept in our truck. The towels were brown and that was just the beginning. We were all thinking ok it’s one night let’s get some rest and we will go somewhere else in the morning. My oldest daughter pulled down the sheet to find fresh blood on them. I looked under the other bed’s and found more, along with hair and just dirt you could tell hadn’t been cleaned or washed they just made the bed. After all that we went and slept in the truck. We were so tired and disgusted.
