The Hotel was nice, Unfortunately the indoor pool

Posted 10-Dec-2014
Pros: The TV
Cons: The indoor pool situation
Location: We went for a shuttle ride into Medina but the shuttle does not function as mentioned. They do not come and go every hour but only a few times a day.
The Hotel was nice and acceptable. Unfortunately the indoor pool was not for children. I picked this hotel due to the time of year so my child could enjoy the indoor pool. What they do not tell you is that it is part of the Spa and that children are not allowed to use it and the Jacuzzi is only available for 1 hour. Food at the buffet was okay. Many choices for children as well as fussy eaters. The outdoor pools looked lovely, good location if you want some peace from the noisy city of Marrakech. Would be much more enjoyable during the hotter months, nice terrace for eating outside. Most everyone only speaks French.

Séjour merveilleux entre amis. Hôtel peut être loin de Marrakech mais avec les navettes, pas de soucis. Hôtel recommandé. On y reviendra.

Vacanza in famiglia

Posted 26-Nov-2014

Quiet Hotel, good for families in the Summer

Posted 26-Nov-2014
Pros: The space, entertainment staff & the rooms. They turned the heated pool off and only used the cold one but when the heated one was going, it was nice.
Cons: Happy smiling management, like it used to be. They over charge on anything and everything they can now with miserable glum faces.
Location: The location is 20 mins away from airport and Mena markets etc. They do a Free minibus to the main city and back, AT the moment.
Last year I came to this hotel and was blown away by their friendliness, cleanliness and catering. You could get free bottles of water at any time and the staff couldn't be more obliging. This year I went back with 17 girl friends for my 50th B/D. It had completely changed. New management staff were unhelpful. Taking ages to do anything or not coming back you at all. I had tried to email them beforehand and couldn't get through. I tried ringing them and got put on hold for 10 mins and had to hang up. I asked for a Birthday cake once I got to the hotel for another friends B/D, was told the catering manager would find me and didn't and when I did complain I was told they needed 24 hrs notice. They turned up with a massive sponge gataux that they served in the restaurant anyway and tried to charge us over £70 for it. Eventually we got it down to about £47, which is still taking the ..ss. They charge £10 per slice per person !!!!! That they had reduced it for us being 18. Ridiculas. We then on the last night booked into the Italian Restaurant. Mistake. 1 person serving that we had to go and find as he didn't come to take our order then it took over an hour to cook a few pizzas and pasta. It was more stress complaining about not paying for luke warm food then it was worth. The Reception people would change up some money for some people and not others, even though the money was in the till. It was a nice break away but stressful at the same time. I was embarrassed at recommendati

Nice hotel but quite a way from the town.

Posted 26-Nov-2014
Pros: it was clean and plenty of pool side loungers
Cons: better communication for guests on what you can do and how you get there
There is a shuttle bus from the hotel to the town but you are restricted to time of arrival and departure and until you have been there you don't know what to expect. The hotel were hopeless at being able to give us advice and so was the tourist office. If you are going get a guide book and read up on the city before you go and barter with a taxi driver to take you around. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Food was not great, buffet style and often cold. If you have food allergies avoid this hotel you will be limited. As there is no where else to get drinks or snacks go all inclusive. We upgraded once we were there to get lunch and free drinks. Pool complex beautiful and the water park for the kids was nice - away from the main hotel so adults can sit around the pool without screaming kids.

Lovely hotel, staff let it down.

Posted 24-Nov-2014
We recently stayed at the andalou for a long weekend. Our first impressions were of how pretty the hotel was. Check in took a while but we were in a large group and they were very accommodating in letting us have lunch before our check in. The rooms are lovely and big and have a larg bathroom. There were two sinks, a shower cubicle and bath and shower. Toilet and bidet. Towels were replaced daily. The beds were comfortable. The only part of the hotel that is not so good is the service. The staff only just answer the phone to you and then don't understand what you are saying and hang up on you. The staff were not very helpful and we had quite a few examples of this. If you want a cheap break away then the andalou is good.

Pleasant stay but definitely not 5*

Posted 24-Nov-2014
Pros: I liked the bedroom itself which had it's own chilling/relaxing area. The spacious bathroom, each bathroom had a shower and a bath tub which was love
Cons: More variety of food and opening the other themed restaurants on site during lunch. Increasing the number of TV channels. Having the pool heated.
Location: You do need a car for this location. The free shuttle bus to the Medina gets booked up in advance. There was nothing nearby. Good for total peace.
On arrival the hotel seemed nice enough with big rooms. However, if you're staying for longer than 3 days you'll soon get bored of the repetitive food. They have many restaurants on site however, none of these are open during lunch when people really need it as most people are booked on as half board if not full board. The breakfast was simple with some danish options however, the only cooked section was the omelette station. For dinner there wasn't much choice and the meats were usually dry and flavourless. Only good thing was the pasta station however, it was limited to only pasta bolognese night after night. The TV stations were limited with only 3 channels that were English, of which one was BBC Worlwide News. The staff weren't that helpful and getting a simple pool towel seemed to take the longest process which just got plain silly.

Vacanza con famiglia ed amici

Posted 23-Nov-2014

Short break

Posted 23-Nov-2014
Pros: Very clean
Cons: Have irons available in the room and more than one shuttle booking per day.
Location: Location is fine if you just want to stay away from the city.
Great food, clean hotel and friendly staff. The stir fry is a must.
