comfortable rooms

Posted 30-Mar-2015
Pros: room - comfort & size views of Atlas mountains friendly bar, restaurant and entertainment staff.
Cons: tea/coffee facilities in room, spa quality & price, extend all incl pkg, room access door hangers for cleaners, hotter food, cust service reception.
Location: free, bookable shuttle bus to the centre easy access to the airport trips to book through the hotel
Very friendly and welcoming staff in the bar, restaurant and entertainments team. Impressed with the room comfort and size and views of the Atlas mountains. Also, the two mosaic rooms. Disappointed with the spa facilities (quality and price) and "all inclusive" package which was restricted to one restaurant and one bar. An expensive "all inclusive" holiday overall with disappointing inclusives (you pay to use the gym, spa, indoor pool, Jazz bar, Moroccan & Oriental restaurants and even asked to pay for the receptionist to call to double-check the transfer time for the airport). Buffet style restaurant - the food looked hot in the trays but pretty cold when returned to the table. It didn't quite match other 5-star experiences or expectations - 3.5/4 star is more appropriate.

Eden Andalou Hotel. Marrakech.

Posted 28-Mar-2015
Pros: Good food. Friendly staff.
Cons: Provide umbrellas and macs. More indoor entertainment in inclement weather. Provide book exchange.
Location: The Souks , Jardin Marjorelle and trips to the Atlas Mountains.
Hotel is in need of a bit of TLC. Food good. Staff helpful. Loud music is played all day long around the pool area .....Why? Good views of the Atlas Mountains. We visited 20/03/15 , pool was to cold to swim in. Rained and was cold for 5 of the 7 days we were there. Take warm clothes and wet weather gear ( I think we were unlucky).

Posted 23-Mar-2015

Good cheap holiday

Posted 08-Mar-2015
Only just got back after 3 short days. We were meant to stay at Club Kenzi but it was booked up unfortunately. So, all the staff were very friendly and cheerful. The hotel is a bit dated but was kept clean. The food wasn't great. Very repetitive and not much choice. Especially the snacks between 5pm onwards. The free drinks made up for that though. The animation team constantly put on entertainment and work very hard. The main pool was absolutely freezing so swim in the infinity pool. There was a bit of confusion amongst staff as to whether the gym was free. One said it was, another said no etc etc. for an apparent 5* the gym should be free. We were also told that we could use the spa to shower on check out but this was not so. I would say this would have been a 5* in the 80s but not now. I would choose Club Kenzi any day over Eden Andalou. However, I wouldn't say that I'd never not go back for a cheap holiday.

Lovely hotel away from the hustle and bustle

Posted 28-Feb-2015
Pros: Good standard of accommodation and great food for all inclusive
Cons: The Aquapark is under construction and there is an extra charge to use these facilities, spa and indoor pool
Location: Stunning location with the Atlas Mountains as a backdrop. Nothing else close by other than the city centre which is a taxi/busride away
Lovely hotel away from the hustle and bustle but hotel provide a shuttle bus every hour and drops you by the square. Was low season when we arrived so only about 300 guests. I cannot imagine what it would be in high season ! Food excellent, very friendly staff. Beautiful weather during the daytime but absolutely freezing in the evening for which we were not prepared. Excellent value

Good hotel out of town.

Posted 16-Feb-2015
Pros: Accommodation, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Food, good choice and quality.
Location: 20 + minutes from Marrakesh on shuttle bus. Good pools and sunbathing area at hotel. No potential for local walks. Plenty to do in Marrakesh.
Rooms, food and facilities excellent. Dining room and communal indoor areas very cold so wrap warm or sweater needed. Nice views and garden but nowhere to walk outside the hotel grounds except the main roadside. Excellent free shuttle bus service to Marrakesh.
