"The location of the cottage in Carloway is great for exploring the island of Lewis, it’s archeological sites, many walks and hikes. There is a well stocked shop in town for anything you need. The house is cozy and peaceful looking out on the loch in front. The kitchen has good supplies for cooking. It is the perfect place for rest and renewal in the beauty of the western isles, and also as a base for outdoor activities."

We cannot fault John for his cooperation and his management of the property. The information available was comprehensive and up to date. The position of the house is excellent if you have a car and want to visit all of the island. The maximum drive time was about 1 hour and fifteen minutes. We can only HIGHLY RECOMMEND this property for a vacation in the Hebrides. We hope to visit again and we would very happily stay at 5 Crulivig."
