I did not like how they did not have a bellman or secure bell closet. When I arrived early they told me to simply store my luggage in a room where all other gueat luggage was. Anyone could simply walk in and take whatever they want of they wanted to. The bell closet was not secure whatsoever so i did not feel comfortable leaving my bags there. Also the bathub was a large corner jacuzzi bathtub with no shower curtain. It made showering awkward and challenging without getting water all over the floor. Other than that nice hotel

The AC was broken in the room, was impossible to sleep, front desk did nothing to rectify the situation other than telling us someone would fix it the next day, which didn’t matter as our stay was only one night.

Very nice hotel with nice bar and pool areas. The room was very clean and modern and the view was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the 20 Euros for late check out at 5pm was fantastic. It is a bit of a walk to local food places, but worth it as the food in the hotel was not the best ever, which is a shame.

The check in was frustrating and the female receptionist with tattoos was very rude and blunt. My studio room had doors off it’s hinges and lights that did not work. It was fine but overpriced for the location and hotel itself.

Overall experience was great ⭐️
We had a great time overall and for the cost we were really impressed. 4 days was perfect there! Food was ok but I’d say to try and eat out where you can - it’s better for meat eaters! Everything was clean, room was pretty good too and you could tell it had been updated - there were some paint touch ups that could have done with some attention but overall it was good! Oh and air con works but isn’t the best! As a stay overall here was very impressed and the staff were generally friendly and helpful! Thanks so much!

really nice hotel, friendly staff. beds were comfy and the air con in the room was very good. our wifi was patchy, i think that’s because of our location in the hotel, it was better near the pool and in reception. near transport into the centre and a shopping centre nearby

Great place, the staff was friendly, delicious breakfast and dinner! The only thing to take into account was that the AC wasn’t great, it barely worked, same thing goes to the toilet flush. Very good overall!

In my opinion this is very much an two star hotel not a three star. It’s outside the the city centre (45 minute walk or a c. 20 minute bus ride), and the price reflects this. Clearly significant investment has been made in the pool area which is spacious and clean but the rooms are somewhat dated. Two big issues which mean I couldn’t recommend this hotel: 1. We only had one night where we weren’t disturbed by loud guests at 1-3am. The walls really are paper thin. 2. We had no air con during our stay. The issue was reported several times but there was no sense of customer service. Instead of fixing the issue they just left our balcony doors open all day whilst we were out which was extremely concerning from a safety perspective.

Checked in and received the first example of the front desk not caring at all. Got to my room which I'd paid extra for (to have a nice one) and was thoroughly disappointed. Had the traditional beds pushed together, so really just a single bed (my friend who didn't pay extra got a sea view and a queen sized bed). Went to the balcony to look around and found a used condom in the corner, front desk barely cared and just said they'll send someone to clean it up. The 'Balcony' was more like a mini prison yard with no view. First night another guest walked in to my room as they had been checked in by mistake to my room. I went out for the night then couldn't get back in to my room upon my return, this was due to them changing the code on the key. To top it off, at night there was a huge air vent in the building opposite which made a horrendous noise all night. I'll never return to this place so long as i'm breathing. The only good part in my room was the shower.

The hotel has an amazing pool and chill out area, the views from room are good also if you're in a superior room. I didn't have the breakfast in the hotel, but i had a burger in the swimming pool bar. I said to the staff that i don't eat pork, and they not only looked bad at me but also put bacon in my burger!!! Very disappointing the service of the pool bar ..... and they were very slow also to serve the food.

Though a great location with superb view of the maritime terminal and city in general, the hotel is decaying with noticeable lack of maintenance. Rust in many areas, a poor aspect for a nice location. Sadly the shower knob was damaged, taking a shower became a real challenge. For the price, it was unsatisfactory - this venue requires a huge improvement

Hotel Horizonte
It was a quick booking as missed flight and had to stay another night. Hotel Amic Horizonte were very accommodating and room was ready when we got there. Very much appreciated. Its an older style hotel . Quirky character you might say, but comfortable and clean with comfy beds. Had a room with a view of port and watched a cruise liner docking in the morning. I enjoyed my short stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Initially disappointed. Near ports not beach. Showers inside room, no view and A/C wasn’t working. Staff moved us to another room, but had to relocate us once again. Third room was much better with partial view. Staff worked very hard to be accommodating, so pluses for that. Hotel sits on top of a hill so prepared to do some walking. There is a mail at the bottom of the hill and stores around base of hotel, but be clear, base is at bottom of a steep hill. One bus takes you to the hill closest to hotel. Beautiful pool and decent drinks. Did not try any of the food. Photos are not off basic rooms, upgrade if you stay here.

Our stay was very pleasant, room had a sea view and very nice balcony, was spacious and cosy, we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay! Location was also good. I recommend the hotel and hope to stay that again!

Lovely hotel
Lovely quiet hotel with stunning views , room basic but clean, staff very helpful, pool area good and needed after walking round the city in the hot weather, breakfast reasonably priced . The hotel is a fair walk to the cathedral, which is where all the pretty little squares with restaurants are, if you walk down the hill/steps towards Porto pi shopping centre you can get the number 4 bus for 2 euros or a taxi for about 8 euros. Although taxi is best coming home to avoid the hill/steps

Hotel rooms need update pool area great although no Covid cleaning at the pool especially where people used beds. Lovely views from the pool area Disappointed with stay did try to discuss issues with reception but they were not interested. Also safety deposit box broken no offer to change room. They did give us a free lunch would rather they addressed the problems

Unfortunately the stay at this hotel was a bit disappointing. The room was nice and modern but the amenities were disappointing as there were barely enough towels in the room and safe usage was charged extra. It also seemed like the room was not really cleaned by houskeeping and sheets and towels haven't been changed during our stay. The staff was also not overly friendly or welcoming, we found a coackroach in our room and nobody really seemed to care. Positives are the view and pool area which was also not overly busy during our stay.

Loved the layout of this hotel. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Beds very comfortable and lovely spacious room. The pools were glorious. One issue was the amount of plastic and lack of recycling- I saw tins and plastics all in the bins together and plastic straws still being used. This is not sustainable anymore and needs to be changed.
