Great for cyclists

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: close to the beach, nice pool for young children, good playground area, great terrace with bar & restaurant.
Location: Eat, drink, cycle, swim, snorkel.
Very, very impressed with the garage for keeping bicycles in safely with the use of a washing machine for cycling clothes! And water to fill up your bottles.

Great location on Pollensa Beach

Posted 27-Oct-2014
Pros: Pools, Breakfast Buffet, Location, Facilities
Cons: Insolation of rooms ( you can hear your neighbour sneeze ), rooms may need redecoration
Location: Alcudia, Pollensa Old town, Formentor, Inca Market
Hotel is very nice looking from the outside, but the rooms would probably benefit from a revamp. Mattresses were very good though so that was important to us. The kitchenette is a bit small but well stocked for cooking. Location is great as you are on the beach literally 100 m away, with soft white sand and plenty of little fish...Good to visit the island as well as close to Formentor cove and Alcudia. Would probably return as very good value for money

Nice family friendly hotel close the beach.

Posted 22-Oct-2014
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is very good and there is a lot of choice. There are 4 outdoor pools which are great for both children and adults. There is also a heated pool for which there is a charge to use. The hotel itself is a little dated but with a few cosmetic changes would be excellent. The rooms however are comfortable and we slept well. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Nice pools, quiet location

Posted 09-Sep-2014
Pros: POOLS
Cons: REMOVE CHARGE FOR TRAINING POOL
Location: CLOSE TO BEACH
Enjoyed the outside pools (kids loved pools which were heated) but training pool cost 4euro/hr. Food was good, with a buffet style. Steak, chicken and fish most nights and selected other dishes. Hotel is in a quiet area approx 10min walk to town centre & marina, and suited to couples/young families

Perfect for children

Posted 08-Sep-2014
We've just had a lovely holiday at villa concha. It's a very short walk to beach, shops and restaurants and has great pools and play areas for the children. The rooms are ok, clean but could do with a bit of tlc as looking a bit worn in places. Also, they need to do something about tiles next to the pool, very slippery! But on the whole, a great place to stay for families.

Great location, small room

Posted 03-Sep-2014
Pros: The location
Cons: Wifi
Location: Beach, shops, restaurants
Staff were helpful although we struggled to get a decent wifi connection. We were in a studio room which was clean and comfortable but very small. Unpacking wasn't an option and the kitchenette was only useful for making coffee or storing items in the fridge. We were eating our so that wasn't a problem. There were several swimming pools which was great and the location was perfect for the beach and restaurants. Although the road leading up to it was quite dark and quiet when walking home after an evening out. Overall I was pleased although the price was quite steep. I would recommend it for the swimming area (especially for those with kids) and fir the location.

Great location

Posted 01-Sep-2014
Returned from the villa concha last week. Travelled with my husband and 2 children 8 and 4.Firstly it's in a great location only a few minutes walk to the resturants/ bars and literally 2 minutes from the beach! The staff here are great, they are so friendly and welcoming and work so hard at making your stay pleasurable. Rooms are very dated and basic but are very clean.one thing I noticed was how clean the hotel was. The beds are also very comfy too and we slept well every night. The Unfortunately we found the food to be very repetitive, pretty much same stuff every night, it was pretty poor to be honest. breakfast was lovely and also the lunch menu did delicious snacks but I would recommend self catering or bed and breakfast and eat out every night. The restaurants are amazing in puerto pollensa, it would be a shame to stay in your hotel and miss this beautiful resort. Kids enjoyed the evening entertainment which was a disco at 8pm. It was pretty bad for adults though to be honest. I heard they had cut back in the entertainment and it really showed. This hotel is very good if you have very young children as it is dead by 11pm, we are not party animals but certainly a bit of music around the bar would have been nice. It really did lack atmosphere and I could hear other hotels still having fun and wished we were there instead, The pool area is excellent you can see the children from most places you sit as it's not a huge complex which suited us.

Lovely holiday ......

Posted 29-Aug-2014
Pros: Location, price, cleanliness, staff, breakfast.
Cons: Children's entertainment programme for over 5's
Location: Beach just few hundred metres away as is well stocked supermarket. On the beach there are pedlos for hire, banana boats etc .10 min walk to main area.
We stayed at Villacincha for the second year running. They have made some improvements to the hotel in the last year in that there are new lifts, the reception area and toilets have all been renovated and the pool area has all been re tiled as well as the actual pools having all been renovated too with new tiles. Breakfast excellent - couldn't fault the standard or choice. However compared to last year the children's entertainment was disappointing. Last year there was shooting target practice (sucker arrows), darts competitions (Velcro darts) as well as 2 pool tables, air hockey and table tennis. This year there was just one solitary pool table which was out of order for 4 days of our 9 night stay. What entertainment there was was geared around the under 5's with colouring club, mini disco etc. Other than the entertainment I believe VC to be a very good 3 star hotel. The rooms are in need of an upgrade and are somewhat dated but they were clean and functional.

Convenient for the great beach.

Posted 27-Aug-2014
Pros: The location was its best feature....near the beach, buses, harbour etc, but it was nice and quiet.
Cons: The food could be hotter and more varied.
Location: The location was very good,....maybe 200m to the excellent beach. Loads of excursions available if needed. The hotel has a very good gym.
The first 1 bedroom apartment we(my wife and I and my 15yr old son) were put in was a bit claustrophic ,...on two levels with the bedroom not having a window to the outside(and the 2 single beds weren't big). So we asked if there other types and we were given a better place(the next day) which was quieter and very nice with good air-con. The food was adequate with a fair selection but 'hot' buffet was often only warm. We ate out several times to get a better meal. Breakfasts were nice but with a queue for the fried eggs usually! The snack meals(which we had to pay for) at lunch were excellent, although we usually made something in the room and then had a short siesta!. Drinks overall were a tad expensive. The entertainment was the usual slightly naff thing, mainly aimed at the kiddies but there was a great flamenco guitarist one evening. We usually went for a walk. It was only 200m to a great beach,... sandy, clean and safe(gently sloping into a warm sea). Great for young kids as long as you can get shade(fair price to hire but big demand). Windsurfing, sailing etc etc nearby. A zillion nice restaurants half-mile walk to the harbour area. Nice little Catholic church in the square(where my wife went one Sunday). We went by bus to Formentor beach which was great but very crowded. The hair-pin bends were 'interesting'! We came back by boat which was good. We also had a half-day trip to Pollensa village inland and climbed the 354 steps to the little church.
