Quiet apartments close to beach

Posted 10-May-2015
Pros: Quiet, pleasant, great pool complex and situated in a good area.
Cons: Apartments a little basic, and no ice cube tray in the fridge which impacted my Gin & tonic seriously on arrival.
Location: Spacious beach about 200 yards walk. Puerto Pollensa main strip and Harbour 10 minutes walk and lovely drive up to Cap Formentor lighthouse
Good size apartment, clean but basic. Lovely pool complex, ideal for children and very quiet so plenty of sunbeds to choose from. Short walk to the beach and about 10 minutes to the main strip. Lovely, quiet neighbourhood and just what was needed for a short break.

Hotel for family or sport

Posted 29-Apr-2015
Pros: Staff were always helpful and everything was clean, pools were crystal-clear.
Cons: Perhaps a teapot in the kitchen. Little else needed improvement!
Location: 150m from large beach and many shops, restaurants. Cycle hire from the lobby and a good starting point for cycling or walking.
Leisure facilities were outstanding, large leisure pool, 3 childrens' pools, one with nice primary age slides, plus a full-size heated exercise pool. Extensive fitness room. Our room had a separate kitchen, 2 comfy beds upstairs (lots of choices of room layouts available), TV that received half a dozen English channels (+Spanish, German, Italian, French). Buffet was moderate in size, but good value and far better than any we have had before in that food was always fresh and hot by frequent replenishment.

Excellent sports facilities. Hotel a little tired

Posted 14-Apr-2015
For cyclists and swimmers the sport facilities are excellent. The secure bike storage with pumps, workstand etc is first class. There is also a bike shop within the hotel building that sells kit and can carry out repairs. Retul bike fitting and running gait analysis is also available The outdoor heated 25m training pool is also excellent. Leisure pools are clean but not heated. The water was pretty chilly when I was there in early April. My son wasn't keen to venture further than ankle deep. The hotel rooms are in need of updating. Furniture was quite old and cupboard doors creaky. Drawers very sticky. There has clearly been money spent on the sports facilities. Maybe the rooms are next on the list. All rooms have a safe for which there is no charge. Breakfast and dinner is buffet style. If you're on a training camp this is a benefit because you can basically eat as much as you like for a flat charge. However the food doesn't change much from day to day. Quality is ok but not outstanding. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are heading to Pollensa for a cycling holiday then I would highly recommend this hotel. If you're just after a relaxing break there are probably hotels with more modern room facilities.

Great for cyclists

Posted 12-Nov-2014
Pros: close to the beach, nice pool for young children, good playground area, great terrace with bar & restaurant.
Location: Eat, drink, cycle, swim, snorkel.
Very, very impressed with the garage for keeping bicycles in safely with the use of a washing machine for cycling clothes! And water to fill up your bottles.

Good hotel with good sports facilities

Posted 11-Nov-2014
My partner and i enjoyed a weeks holiday at the very end of the season. Villaconcha is a nice aparthotel in a quiet area of Puerto Pollensa just minutes from the beach and restaurants. The sports facilities are excellent with a heated 25m pool, spa, gym and bike rental facilities- ideal for those training for a triathlon or just wanting to do a bit of exercise while on holiday- you have to make a small payment to use the pool and spa but the gym is free. The rooms are adequate. I'm not sure if they have double beds so we needed to make do with single beds pushed together which is not ideal for a romantic holiday. The kitchenette is ok for making breakfast but the electric sockets are in the wrong place and the cables trail across the hob- i certainly wouldn't fancy cooking a full meal in it. Staff were friendly and helpful. I would return as the the sports facilities are good.

Posted 31-Oct-2014
Pros: Komfort, funksjonalitet og stor bredde i tjenester.
Cons: Et par mindre kjeler på kjøkkenet for single personer.
Location: Super avstand til sentrum og lokal buss-stasjon. Kort vei til strand. Stille men samtidig passelig bebodd område. Gode muligheter for utetraktering.
