Location is great and very pleasant staff and reasonable facilities. Lovely dining lounge overlooking sea.
Probs- not of the hotels making - Maldives ingeneral - , lax health and safety, everything priced (rip off prices) in US dollars. If you are in the middle of the pacific you are going to get fleeced - just be aware before you go and it will not spoil your holiday.
City airport hotel nestled in lush and tropical surroundings close to the sea and a ten minute boat ride from Maldives …More
We stayed at this hotel twice, one day before and one day after a sailing trip thru the Maldives. The hotel is in a great location, close to shops and the water. The rooms are wonderful and overlook the water. The staff of the hotel is fantastic. We were greated at the airport and transfered to the hotel. We arrive to the hotel and check in quickly. The staff gives us great directions to the town for dinner. In the morning we had to go to the India consolate to try to obtain visas. This turned out to be very complicated and we were unable to finish before the deadline. The hotel staff helped us put our package together, printing, copying, telling us where to get the photos... Then we we learned we missed the deadline they agreed to take the package over for us the next day. I have never had service like this at any hotel. They went above and beyond the call to duty and all with a pleasant, professional attitude. I would recommend this hotel for any visit into Male.

Perfect hotel close to the airport. Clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced. The staff at Hotel Octave are excellent - they collect you from the airport and drop you back off at no cost whatsoever and with a smile on their face. This involves a short ferry trip and then a short car journey therefore please tip - they're worth it!! We were upgraded and check in and check out was easy. Thank you to Hotel Octave for a nice first night in the Maldives!
Stayed here overnight before going to a resort.
Was attracted by its proximity to the airport jetty and reviews, but found that the hotel was much older than expected.
Going in, you'll find the rooms very cramped - Wifi reception is spotty at best.
My wife ended up not sleeping much (if at all) because of the claustrophobic nature of the room
Also, the rooms do look much older than the pictures suggest, and appear to be in need of some repair (Our room didn't even have a shower rod/curtain).
Rooms are separated from a common foyer by only the (very thin) doors - you will definitely hear it loud and clear if someone slams a door across the hall, or talks a little louder.
That being said the staff were fantastic - very friendly and very helpful (there was pickup from the airport, with the ferry ticket and taxi fare to the hotel being included).
Basic hotel in Male, Maldives. Outside of the main "touristy" area in Male, however given the island is so small, this made little difference. Everything was within a 5-10 minute walk.
Hotel was clean and comfortable, average 3 star rating.
Its a new hotel, sort of cute. Beach is very close by. The staff Melannie, Kalandar, Raju, Badal are all very helpful & take very good care. The food is very good & service is quick. A good deal at that price.
They greeted us with smiles and are very friendly. Rooms are generally clean and cosy. The hotel doesn't have lifts because its just a few floors high. Walking distance to the public beach where the waters are as clear as ever! The surroundings are still under development; therefore you'll see some undeveloped sights. It is pretty hot so don't forget to bring shades!
We stayed at the Elite overnight before taking the various ferries to Maafushi. The staff were all helpful - not all understood English - the owner speaks very good English. Not too far from the airport - walkable I'd say but you're not allowed to walk through the airport so that wasn't a goer. We even went for a walk along the beach in the evening. The room was fine for an overnight but not sure it'd be good for a longer stay. Breakfast was ok too.
1. Hotel room: not the most expensive but kept clean. But for the price paid, the room given is more than adequate. It is great actually.
2. Hotel staff: helpful and friendly.
3. Food: we only had 1 breakfast there. But it is good and satisfying.
4. Location: near airport. So it is very suitable for those who just use Male as a transit point to the islands.
So all in all this is a very good hotel.
