Chaaya Reef is a small Atoll in the Ari Reef chain.
Service: 5*. Seriously: from the Table Service, to the room cleaning, Turn Down service at night, Pool Service, Scuba experience...Wow!!! The people have a Strong Work Ethic. when something isnt right, and you tell them- you almost feel bad since they care so much.
Rooms: Your in the middle of the Indian Ocean on a Atoll. Its pretty much in the middle of no-where. They build nice Strong Concrete small buildings with either 1 room or 4 rooms. Easily survived the strong winds we experienced. The resort provides power adapters. Make sure you have 220Volt items! (European voltage). They were very clean, and very quiet. We slept GREAT! Beds are a bit on the firm side. Guys will LOVE it...Girls will moan unless they are sporty.
Food: concerned when we read the food reviews on a few sites. But the Hotel did Really well. Very European style with a large number of Indian offerings. Not an indian restaurant frequenter- but i found the selection quite nice. If i felt like European food- No Prob, and if i wanted some local/indian type food. No Prob. I was worried about my wife and stomach bugs- but No Prob!
Scuba: The house reef here is the best in the Maldives. If you scuba, its AWESOME! They take care of the reef and it sure pays off
Transport: We took the boat vice the plane and was fun. We liked it.
Bottom-line for us: We'd go back. Hotel staff is Great, rooms comfy and quiet, and scuba- WOW!!
