Excellent experience

It was an amazing experience, especially for the price. I was upgraded to a suite, and was presented with a bowl of fruit and some water. Who knew? The views are spectacular. I also enjoyed playing poker in the casino at night.

Nice hotel, many steps to the beach.

Access to beach not so good if you have walking difficulties. Quite a walk to the centre area, although a bus stops opposite the hotel.

THB Torrequebrada

Posted 13-Jun-2014
Pros: Location
Cons: Mini bar, faster wifi and a smile on the faces of the reception. Its not a 4 star but nearer a three star plus.
Nice hotel close to the beach. A little impersonal the experience. I had been a frequent visitor to the nearby Flatotel and told them this but did not seem to care much to change this habit. Lack of English speaking TV Channels is annoying and the WIFI speed is slow. But in the main its a nice and comfortable hotel to stay in.

wonderful sheltered gardens on sea front

Posted 29-Apr-2014
Pros: quiet gardens and wonderful staff
Cons: Only younger people were asked to partake in pool games. Should be more inclusive
Location: We had a car so day trips to Gibraltar, Ronda and Granada are a must
Perfect hotel for relaxing holiday close to beach and prom yet private. Swimming area had 2 large pools with real grass area for sunbeds. Staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. Only 25min.drive from airport. Food catered for all tastes. One of the best hotels we have stayed in and around this area. Well done to all. Kieran

Everything you need for a quiet beach holiday

Posted 27-Apr-2014
Pros: Good location at the beach, quiet, good food, bus stop right outside to take you into town or Malaga. Friendly staff, would go back.
Cons: general upkeep needs some attention, also some cosmetic touches to add some flair and personality. Should serve food and drink at the poolside
Location: very convenient location close to beach with easy transport links into town. If you need anything there is also a supermarket just opposite
Overall we had a great stay at this hotel and we would return. Recommend Marbella Tower and high floors eg 8 or 9. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the west facing rooms in the Marbella Tower get lovely afternoon sun and have magnificient views of the sea and along the coast towards Gibraltar. We had half-board and this suited us perfectly as we generally ate lunch in one of the many restaurants and cafes at the beach or in the town or in Malaga. We were overall impressed with both the breakfast and the dinner and the one time we swapped dinner for lunch, we were impressed with lunch also. The hotel is a short walk (3 mins) from a sandy beach. Directly in front of the hotel itself is the sea, but no beach. It is rocky and the waves come right up to the sea wall. But there is a nice pool and area to sunbathe.

Staff the best asset of the Hotel

Posted 15-Apr-2014
THB Torrequebrada use to be a 5* - it lost one of those and is in serious danger of loosing another. Don't get me wrong the staff are unbelievable helpful and very courteous but it's the facilities that let it down. I arrived late on a Sunday night and was told that room service was available. In actual fact there was nothing to choose from and I was brought a tiny ham and cheese toasted sandwich and a packet of crisps. I was charged 5 Euros for delivery and therefore the total bill was 22 Euros for a sandwich which was a best pathetic! The hotel pool bar is still closed despite the weather being glorious and overall the hotel lacks any sort of ambience. The redeeming feature however is the spectacular views from the ocean front rooms. See picture.
