The Magic Hotel was perfect for us. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We had to check into the hotel at another hotel around the corner, a slight inconvenience in the cold but nothing to ruin that interfered with our wonderful stay. There were many restaurants, shopping, and history to explore. The area is very safe to walk. Highly recommend.

The Altstadt Hotel is locate right in the heart of the Old Town. The room was uniquely decorated, simple, attractive and functional. Great location... if you don't mind the sounds of the old city - the bell tower clock right outside the window that rings every 15 minutes and then longer on the hour, and the hustle and bustle of delivery trucks in the early morning hours. Over all, it suit our purposes well.

On arrival the Wifi was not working, but after contacting reception staff the problem was fixed. No English speaking TV channels available. Staff were unable to rectify the fault prior to our departure

We enjoyed a great 3 nights. This hotel is in a wonderful location. Easy walk from the train/bus station. Shops, restaurants, view of the Chapel bridge right there. Our room was very basic but exactly what we booked. WiFi worked well. No English TV channels on the TV. There was a Nespresso like coffee machine provided and a fridge. Check in is around the corner but very easy to find.

We stayed in the Angel Room. It was amazing! I counted 12 angels in the room. The bathtub had a low sealing, making a shower difficult. Otherwise, a very comfortable room.

This location was just amazing! I would recommend this location for the fact it was extremely clean-spotless! The bedding, towels and amenities were above as described on the website. For so many more reasons that won’t allow here, I would recommend this to all my friends, Family and fellow Travelers! The Receptionist/Concierge(s), could not have been nicer or any more accommodating to/for us. Always responded quickly & kindly and made us feel we had known them our entire lives. It is centrally located to most all iconic landmarks & sights. The neighborhood was well lit, easily accessible and we felt very secure & safe. Thank you once again for an amazing experience! Excellent location and fun themed room
This was a good value and fun stay right in the centre of the old town. The location couldn’t be rivalled although was also a drawback. The Pirate room was on the fourth floor and the windows opened directly onto the square below. We slept very little due to the room being hot and noisy. A bit of a shame as otherwise it was a great find in an expensive city.

Love the location of this hotel .if your room have a balcony, it’s overlooking the chapel bridge. This is my second time in this hotel . I like it because of the view of the balcony . Also , they have good restaurants and shopping’s as you step out . The hotel just need a bathroom update . the downside is, if it’s your first time to stay in this hotel , you will get confused finding it coz the front desk is on a different hotel and different location . The breakfast is good

This was a value for money budget stay in the Farmer room. Reception is not far away at the Krone hotel. Firstly there are som cobbles to traverse but the hotel has a small service lift luckily. Room is cosy but very clean. No Aircon but the windows open for some breeze. Bathroom good. No USB points but a couple of Swiss only PowerPoints requiring a special adapter. A small fridge in room. Helpful and efficient reception staff. I just can’t fathom why there is not a single sheet to sleep under rather than dooners on hot nights.

Bed/mattress needs an upgrade very hard and uncomfortable, Turned on jacuzzi and water shot across room so did not use it. No A/C and if trying to nap ; due to noise outside ,need to shut windows and when hot with no A/C fans helps a little but was uncomfortable and could not rest easily.

Poor hotel. The location was great but the other amenities are terrible. They offer valet but they wanted us to basically drive through walking centers where there are tons of people walking. It was a disappointment. Pay a little extra and get a better hotel.

No Ac was a issue couldn’t nit sleep for couple of night, if your the person that feel hot it’s not for you two small fan wouldn’t help, after a hot day and complaint for two day I finally got a big fan to sleep last night. Staff is friendly breakfast is good. Area is close to chappal bridge is nice to all the locations. If u want want quit this is not the place, hotel room window open right at the square. Weekend drank people make alit of noises plus restaurants downstairs can get noisy. No balcony as show in picture when asked was told it’s in certain rooms, but the way it was advertised was deceiving, if I have to stay again probably won’t stay at this spot with this amount of money.

The rooms are not part of the hotel. No hotel amenities at all. The themed rooms are done poorly and should just be setup as a hotel room. The small fan was broken in the room and thr fridge had oil all over the inside. The water has a terrible smell. Location is nice but noisy in the mornings. I give it a 4/10 at best. Get rid of the themse and this place will be a good stay when the weather is below 28c

Unique property…..very quirky…..our bed was inside a boat in a pirate themed room. Room was spacious and comfortable….. slightly noisy as the hotel is next to the bell tower. Located in the heart of the old town near the river. Great restaurants and shopping nearby. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff. We had an auto so valet was nice…. And at a reasonable price Important to read the special instructions and go to the nearby Hotel Krone to check in
