“No swimming”
There is a virgin beach, and it's all yours. Except you can't swim there because the hotel is facing the wide open Pacific Ocean and the waves will carry you away, and your body may never be found. That's the only drawback, everything else about this place is great, especially the amazing food and great imported liquor selection.
“Very Happy Brits”
Coming from the UK to Cabo is a big trip for us, so we needed to get good digs, and no hassle service, and we got everything we could ask for. The staff could not have been more friendly or more helpfull, nothing was too much trouble. The quality of food was excellent. The complex is one of the oldest in Cabo I believe, and some signs of wear were inevitably present, but the overall standard of cleanliness and maintenance was first class. I would particularly single out the staff of the "Taco" bar for praise in the way they looked after us, and accomodated our requests for Tacos incorporating the fish we had caught. The big test comes in the question, "Would we go back to the Solmar?", YES, WE WOULD, and I look forward to doing just that. Tom & Derek, two anglers from Gloucestershire UK.

“Solmar still satisfies”
Great Cabo resort. We own at Playa Grande, have seen Solmar and Solmar Grande in the past and got a great RCI exchange for some friends and signed up for a great week of all-inclusive at Solmar Beach Club. The service staff were great. Food good, found a decent wine or two. Location was great for getting to town, the marina for activities and shopping. A little older than many resorts but well maintained. Quiter than many too which was appreciated. Andreas was a great manager, looked after us well when we had a snafu with the booking. Too many others to mention.
“Don't like sale approach for Time Shares.”
Was relocated from our destination resort on the supposition that there was some kind of construction activity at our Solmar site. All seemed to be to get a sales appointment for Time Share purchase for the transfer location. I will no longer book at this facility, and am considering the fact that I will no longer return to Cabo, because of the intense "hussle" to sell something.
“Solmar Cabo”
great location, nice hotel, but really not a hotel, its a timeshare. one restaurant at night 1 pool and you couldn't swim on the beach. drinks were great the staff was awesome, but when you have al inclusive their should be more options vs. one hotel. pool bar awesome. one day they had cruze ships come in and they reserved all these chairs around the pool which took away from all of us staying at the Solmar. location to downtown minutes away. I will go back to Cabo but will stay somewhere else
“Slow service...”
The service was slow. However, I enjoyed our trip and would again stay at this hotel. I think they need more help at the front desk.
“Trying to plan my next trip!!!!”
Staff was very Friendly and knew my little girl by name our 3rd day. The staff was great to our whole party! Loved the rooms and food. My 1 1/2 year old ate almost everything we ordered for her!!! Can't wait to go back!!!
“Wonderful views all around”
Great place to stay. I had seen reviews complaining of the construction. It wasn't a problem for any of the 23 people in our party. Wonderful views of the ocean and the city. The food was very good. The sea turtles were hatching on the beach. Seen whales breaching in the ocean. Great place.
“Extremely Satisfied....expcept for two things...”
We had a great time at the resort. The resort is absolutely beautiful. There is construction going on next door that is a little distracting. The rooms are comfortable with the old mexican look to it. The first problem we encountered was at check-in when they try VERY HARD to sell you on a time share. We has to REPEATEDLY say NO. Even the next day when we went to the office to ask a question they AGAIN tried to sell us on the time share thing. It was very frustrating. And then at check out there was a charge on our bill for a tip. We paid for the all-inclusive package, so tax and gratuity are included. One of the waitors took it upon themselves to write in a tip after we had already signed the bill. Will no go back because of those two things. It's sad because we really liked the place.
