Lovely stay at the Angmering Manor

Posted 17-Jul-2014
Pros: Friendly staff. Good location from Arundel and Poling
Cons: Maybe communication between Expedia and hotel regarding room types desired
Location: Arundel Castle the Cheesemaking Workshop - tell Mandy we sent you!
A friend and I stayed here overnight before a course we were attending. I had booked a twin room through Expedia but, unfortunately, this request hadn't made its way through to the hotel so we ended up with a double (luckily we are long standing friends!) The room was a good size and, to be honest, we both woke up saying we'd had a lovely sleep and that you wouldn't have known there was anyone else in the bed - a testament to the quality of the mattress I imagine! We didn't eat here for the evenning but at a trip advisor recommendation for food in the area; the breakfast however was wonderful, excellent quality and very fresh. There is a small pool that we used and a spa and sauna that we didn't Stunning place, don;t think you'll be disappointed

Lovely setting with character but a bit tired

Posted 09-Jul-2014
Pros: Restaurant food was pretty good. Bed very comfortable.
Cons: New carpet. Decor updating. Felt a bit amateurish…..
Location: Village lovely but did not get to look around. Useful base for Goodwood Festival of Speed.
We stayed at this hotel for the Goodwood Festival of Speed and do think that we paid "over the odds" for our room. That said, we had dinner in the restaurant on the Saturday night which was good. Our room on the ground floor was "shabby chic" the main issue was with the carpet which was old and badly stained. The shower room had been newly renovated but the door and paintwork was still old and tired. However, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. We did get woken up very early 6am by clanging and knocking pipes when someone in another room took an early shower (I suppose to be expected in a 15th Century manor house!). Staff were friendly but not overly concerned about our satisfaction (no questions about meal or room). Unfortunately did not get to sample the spa or the pool but garden pretty.

Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.

Pros: Lovely old hotel full of character, including a small library. Staff were happy to help in anyway they could. Breakfast very tasty and well cooked.
Location: Portsmouth with its historic dockyard is not too far, and you could easily spend a whole day viewing the historic ships. Lots of shops and much more.
We spent two enjoyable nights at Relaxinnz Angmering Manor in a most comfortable room overlooking the well kept gardens. Our breakfasts were served by staff who obviously enjoyed working at the hotel and did everything they could to make our stay with them a good one. On one of the evenings there was live music in the dining room and this was much enjoyed by all. We swam in the immaculate pool and used the hotels sauna, and there were exercise machines also. With plenty of safe parking in the hotel's car park Angmering Manor is highly recommended by us.

After visiting Worthing with work I choose Angmering Manor as my last destination and what a delight. Very happy with both my accommodation and the facilities.

Picked this hotel at random as a stopover but wished we had been able to stay longer. Very comfortable, lovely staff and delicious food.

I love this hotel!

Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Based in a quiet village- other towns are accessible.
I stay here on business and will always be booking this hotel and travelling further into Bognor and Chichester as it is well worth the 20 minute drive to stay in a comfortable hotel. Staff are amazing and credit due to them as nothing is too much trouble. Not to mention the lovely food!

Great friendly staff couldn't do enough to help. Made our stay very personal to us. Lovely food if you stay for dinner and their breakfast's are fab. Our room was lovely and airy comfy bed and crisp bedding. Maybe furniture a little tired in places but on the whole a lovely place to stay. We have been a few times and will definitely return. Thank you for your hospitality, especially Martin.

Comfortable room, very clean but slightly tired shower. I am probably being a bit harsh as it is a lovely listed building so I should probably not expect a modern shower etc. That said the breakfast was lovely and I would definitely stay again.

Worth the effort of finding it!

Not that easy to find, even with satnav, but very comfortable, food very good, friendly staff and even happily served me an early breakfast, as I needed to be on the road early.
