I was welcomed by Mme La Comtesse and shown to my beautiful room. Lovely period decor with all modern amenities. Even a decanter with port ! Very quiet. And in the morning what a view ! Grand dining room for breakfast. Everything is served to perfection. All food is homemade, even the jams. It was lovely to have conversation with people from all over with...

"It was our first time at the Grand Hotel. We stayed at the hotel on our way to catch the ferry from Caen to the UK. The location is very peaceful next to the Solesmes Abbey. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant was of a high quality. Our superior room had a balcony and air con and was spacious. Our little border terrier, Lola, was made very welcome and we found a lovely walk next to the river behind the Abbey. We will definitely come back. "
