We stayed at the Seri Chenang for a few days to break up a long journey and found it to be the ideal place. The Lodges are all well appointed, large and secluded. There is a decent sized pool in which to relax and a Spa. The food was lovely, but the main feature was the staff who were all very attentive and keen to pander to our every wish. The resort doesn't sell alcohol but are happy to serve your own if you buy some at the local Duty Free stores, but the fruit cocktails were wonderfully refreshing and we didn't miss drinking for a few days. The hotel isn't on the beach, but is close by and offer free transport there as well as to and from the airport and the local town. More distant journeys can be handled too at reasonable costs. Take the tour through the mangroves and don't miss the Cable Car but be aware the Sky Bridge on all the photos of Langkawi is closed for rebuilding and may not open again until 2015.
Exceptional. When we arrived they had no record of our booking due to a breakdown of communication between Expedia and the resort. They very calmly fixed it and gave us a free lunch and room upgrade in the process. Later in the stay I had an accident (my fault) which was not too bad but could have been a lot worse. The quick first aid response and subsequent follow up over the next few days was outstanding. And generally the resort facilities are great and the staff throughout could not be more welcoming or attentive. On top of that, the location is lovely - Langkawi is a UNESCO GeoPark and the mangrove forest is very close.
We enjoyed our stay at the Westin Langkawi. This hotel offered good food and the pools are very nice.
We were able to tour the island and take in all the tourist attractions. A week is a good time frame for this island.
We had a good combination of relaxation and exploring.
We would recommend a night time trek with Dev's adventure treks. The guide was very informative and fun.
we enjoyed the stay the room was very good and comfortable.
a very spacious room yet had good privacy also. nice lightings,
enjoyed the vegetarian food served for breakfast and was moved
by the way the staff took care to serve us vegetarian.
If a small doormat was provided near the washroom it would have
been more good. Otherwise it was a very nice, peaceful stay.
