Dating back to the Middle Ages, Langenhagen is a town seven miles to the north of Hannover in Germany’s Lower Saxony region. Today it is twinned with the London Borough of Southwark, and hosts a varied calendar of cultural events, including the Mimuse Festival of Cabaret and Comedy, and a carnival held every July in the town square.

Hannover Airport is the ninth largest airport in Germany, operating routes mostly to European destinations, like London, Paris, Vienna, Frankfurt and Munich. Major airlines using Hannover Airport include British Airways, Air France, Air Berlin and KLM. And when you land, you can hop on the Airport S-Bahn railway station, which will get you to central Hannover in 15 minutes.
