Took a friend's trip and this place was incredible! Beautiful, accommodating, and the service was impeccable. Mizuki was our Attendant and he was so kind and professional. He was so helpful. We will be back again!

Be warned
I’m no expert by any means, but having had the opportunity to experience two ryokans this trip (first in Osaka, then Kyoto) with similar prices but vastly different quality, I feel compelled to compare and comment. Service: Generally felt rushed during our stay. Check-in was technically at 3pm but shuttle was at 4pm, so we did not arrive until 4:30. Similarly, check out was at 10am, but shuttle was at 9:20. At breakfast, there was a sign nudging you to pay before 10am as it gets busy then. For an experience that’s suppose to be relaxing, this took away from it. Room: In dire need of renovation. Room was visibly old and had a musty smell from the moment of walking in. There would be whiffs of piss when the AC wasn’t circulating air. In-room baths were stained and scary to look at, let alone use Bath: Public bath was tiny so naturally, everyone opts to pay extra to book a slot in one of the two private baths on the property. Depending on when you check in, you may not get a slot until the next morning. That said, the private bath had incredible views and was the highlight of this experience, for sure. Food: Mediocre at best compared our first experience, which we had in-room. Presentation was good, but flavors were just a bit off. Breakfast was better than dinner. All in all, our Osaka ryokan experience felt like luxury hotel with spa with authenticity while this felt more like a beat down budget hotel turned tourist trap.

Property with No hot spring
There is no hot spring (onsen) provided by this property. It’s just ordinary hot spa (bath) provided. I plan to enjoy hot spring rather than hot spa of which I can easily take one in any gymnasium room. I am disappointed although with friendly staff in the property. The meal provided is acceptable.

Everything was amazing, from the service before we even walked through the door! Love the staff here, they even offered to drive us to the convenience store to pick up snacks for us, super sweet. The view is very beautiful, definitely reserve a private bathtub!

SECOND STAY AT MOMIJIYA
It's our second stay in two years. This time, we stayed in the main building. It did not seem full as there were about 5 tables occupied for meals in the dining hall. The last time, we stayed at the Annex which is in a ravine next to a river. The Annex was more secluded and tucked away, with private in-room onsen. The main building is more accessible and fronts the main road. The staff were courteous and attentive. The food was average. The shared onsen in the main building was very small, enough for one person. Overall, it was a pleasant relaxing stay in the hills above Arashiyama and not very far from Kyoto.

Favorite part of our trip to Japan
My wife and I stayed at Momiji-ya Ryokan for 2 nights, and had a fantastic time. The service was impeccable, the rooms were clean and spacious (although foreign western guests may still find the rooms smaller than expected), and the food was amazing. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating to us, even though we did not speak much Japanese. I can't recommend this ryokan highly enough.

노천 온천에서도 공용 목욕탕에서도 숲뷰를 제대로 즐길 수 있어서 엄청나게 힐링이 되었어요. 석식은 좀 별로여서 좀 돈이 들더라도 비싼메뉴를 선택하는게 좋을 것 같아요

Magiskt!
Vi var otroligt nöjda med vår vistelse på denna ryokan! Vi tog en lokal buss från Kyoto, biljetten ingick i våra JR-pass. Vi möttes av fyra-fem personer i receptionen som hjälpte oss med incheckning. De ledde oss till vårt rum och visade var matsalen och onsen låg. Allt var klart och tydligt och de som hjälpte oss var otroligt hjälpsamma och serviceinriktade. Onsen-avdelningarna var väldigt mysiga och rofyllda. VI rekommenderar även att boka en privat onsen, det var superfin utsikt och en unik upplevelse som kostade ca 750 yen extra. Matupplevelsen på denna ryokan var fantastisk. Vi möttes av en middag som bestod av 11 rätter. Vi hade aldrig ätit något av det som fanns på menyn, men vi åt allt! Gott och spännande. Frukosten var även den jättegod och unik. Jag blev rörd till tårar när vi lämnade denna plats. Vi står ödmjuka till den fantastiska upplevelse vi fått på denna ryokan och som vi aldrig kommer att glömma. Stort tack!

여자3명 온천여행을갔습니다. 주변에는 정말 아무것도없기때문에 간단한 간식과 맥주같은건 미리사서들어가세요.버스예약을 하셨으면 역바로앞에 편의점이 있어요 음식은.. 그냥 그저그런 아~주 맛있지는 않습니다: 온천은 아주만족합니다 풍경도 너무좋고 물이 너무좋기때문에 씻고나오면 피부가 반짝반짝 광이 이틀동안 아무것도안발라도♡샴푸.린스.바디워시가 준비되어있는데 제가써본 것중 향이제일좋은. 청결상태나 화장실은 별로였지만 서비스나 온천은 매우만족.캐리어를 직원분이 들어서 올려주시고 체크아웃때도 내려주십니다 따뜻한물수건과 티도 직접 내려주십니다. 저녁식사시간 지나면 아주조용합니다 떠들분위기도아니지만 뭔가 숨소리도 조용하게되는ㅠㅠ 오래된건물이라 옆방 문닫는소리까지 들립니다. 체크인-휴식-저녁식사-온천 프라이빗온천-아침식사-체크아웃 이순번 강추드립니다 시간도딱이고 사람없는저녁시간온천과 물안개퍼치는 아침온천 최고당

교토 시내와 떨어져 있는 한적한 료칸
교토 시내에서 떨어져 있는 산속에 들어가 있는 료칸. 송영버스를 놓쳐 버스와 전철을 타고 겨우 찾아 갈 수 있었습니다. 시냇물 소리와 함께 편안하게 지낼 수 있었습니다. 단 무료로 개방된 대욕장은 기대를 해서는 안됩니다. 가족탕은 추가요금이 필요합니다. 가격을 낮추거나 무료로 해주었으면 더 좋았을 것 같습니다. 카이세키 요리는 맛있었습니다. 주변에 특별한 것은 없습니다.

음식도 맛있었고 편안했고 청결했습니다. 특히 노천탕에서 보냈던 추억은 영원히 간직할 수 있을것 같아요. 숙소가 숲에 있어서 노천탕 아래를 바라보면 얕은 계곡물이 졸졸 흐르는게 보이거든요. 이른 아침에 홀로 노천탕에 몸 담그고 쉬다보면 제대로 힐링하는 기분이 납니다. 다음에도 꼭 다시오고 싶어요!

非常友善，抵达时还有幸被免费升级到了别院（距离本馆5分钟车程），住山中别墅，独享私家温泉。别院在小溪边上，有单独的吊桥通往别院，风景优美，环境宜人。周边有三大名寺，步行可达。从附近的火车站打车也不贵，15分钟左右，山庄还有通往京都市内火车站的免费班车。服务贴心、周到、友善，部分员工可以用较为流利的日语交流。非常难得的入住体验。

모미지야 료칸 괜찮아요~
산골 깊숙히 있어 공기랑 자연환경이 아주 좋았습니다. 그리고 초반에 방을 거리뷰를 선택하여 갔는데 마운틴뷰 자리가 났다고 바꿔주시는 센스~ 아주 재미있게 즐기다갑니다. 조금 아쉬운건 대중탕 크기가 아주 작다는것, 밥은 먹으니 건강해지는거 같네요~^^ 프라이빗 온천은 밤에들어가니 시간이 짧게 느껴지내요. 창문열고 밖을바라보면 힐링이됩니다.

힐링하기에 좋은 숙소
부부 동반 1박으로 잘 쉬다 왔어요. 산 속에 있어 공기가 무척 좋고요. 근처 절에 가는 길에 빽빽한 삼나무가 있어서 그 경관도 볼만합니다. 특히, 노천 목욕탕 최고입니다. 저희는 프리이빗 배스와 퍼블릭 배스 둘 다 이용해봤는데, 둘 다 노천탕입니다. 일본 여행 최고의 순간이에요. 방도 깔끔하고, 직원분들도 친절하십니다. 밥이 맛있어요. 약간 짠 편이긴한데, 맛있어서 넘어갈 수 있는 짠 맛이랄까요?ㅎ특히 조식이 맛있습니다. 단풍들때 아름답다고 들어서 가을에 또 가고 싶네요.

ㅅ일본전통느끼시려면 추천
객실상태 괜찮지만 약간의먼지가 쌓임. 뷰는 마운틴 뷰 괜찮아요. 조,석식 포함하시는게 좋을거예요 시골동네라 나가서 사먹기 불편해요. 조석식은 강추합니다. 맛은 그냥 일본 로컬 맛처럼 달고 짜고 ^^ 하지만 추천. 천연온천은 프라이빗 스파 2인 27,000엔 추가해야 가능하고 퍼블릭 스파는 무료로 할 수 있지만 천연온천수는 아닙니다. 그리고 탕이 한개밖에없어서 매우 작지만 사람이많은 호텔이 아니라 번잡하진 않아요. 경치는 산 속이라 공기좋고 오히려 일본전통느끼기엔 좋은 동네입니다. 서비스도 친절하고 좋아요 :)

とても充実した旅行ができました
母と２人で高雄のもみじを見に伺いました。どのお寺にもアクセスがよく、観光にも便利でした。お料理もおいしく、ホテルのスタッフの方にもとても親切にしていただきました。ライトアップなどの観光情報も伺ったところすぐに調べていただき、思いがけず楽しむことができました。また、ゆっくり伺いたいと思います。

공기좋은 곳에서 훌륭한 서비스를 만끽했어요.
일본을 여행하면 료칸을 꼭 이용해보고 싶었는데 그 꿈을 이룬 것 같아요. 공기 좋은 곳에서 훌륭한 서비스와 친절한 직원분들 덕분에 좋은 추억을 만들 수 있었고, 저녁식사와 더불어 좋은 공연 잘 보았습니다.^^ 저녁식사와 아침식사가 무척 맛있었어요~!
