The Silvretta has several points in its favour - the staff are lovely, the location is very convenient, and the food and drink were consistently good. But we were disappointed in the quality of our room, which was small and poorly laid out; the furniture and decoration were cheap-looking and dated. We found unsightly dangling electricity cables, wardrobe doors that couldn't be opened without them hitting the bed, a collapsing shower curtain, and on occasion an unpleasant smell from the sink drain. Klosters is a very expensive place to stay, and these things - minor issues in themselves - made us feel we weren't getting good value for money. I wouldn't rule out staying at the Silvretta again, but only if I could find a deal that involved paying three-star prices, rather than four-star prices.
