The room was clean and the bed comfortable but the price for a very old drive up motel was way out of proportion to what it was. Wasn’t anything near a super8 or other affordable hotel/motel and was twice the price. I think that it was inflated for the long weekend and moving kids into university but absolutely ridiculously high prices.

Hello Joelle,Your travels brought you to Kingston on the Labour day weekend where our prices were very competitive with other similar motels in the area, in fact were actually set slightly lower than our competitors. Our customer policy is always to make every customer’s stay as pleasant as possible and we will do everything we are capable of to provide any specific needs of our customers upon request. If had looked at the super 8 prices you would noticed they were way above ours and their reviews scores are lower than ours. It did the job. It is run down but It was clean. Bed was uncomfortable. Overpriced for what it was due to being a Friday of a long weekend and university move in day. Should have been under $100.

For the price ($128), the furnishings, cleanliness, and beds are OK. The biggest problem is the smell (reek) of stale tobacco smoke in the room, despite the non smoking status. Clearly, these rooms are rented mostly to smokers, judging by the chairs and ashtrays outside each door and the number of people using them. For anyone objecting to the smell of stale smoke, this is not the place for you.

Very good value for the stay. The room was cleaned each day, linens changed and fresh towels. The room was warm and cozy, thermostat accessible. The unit is what I expected for being a budget motel, the only thing missing from the website overview was a hair dryer. Just ask at the desk if you need one, I guess? The only negative was the bright lights from the business next door shone through the windows at the back of the room and bathroom, but it didn't interfere with sleeping, and I actually found it helpful when I got up in the night to use the bathroom. I didn't have to turn on a light and wake up my kids. There is a Tim Hortons just 3 minutes' walk down the road, a grocery store just up the road if you want snacks. Conveniently on the transit route, the #4 bus goes right to both transfer points in Kingston.

Perfect for our quick one night trip. Staff was super nice and motel was just as advertised- clean, simple and adequate for this trip for my son and I. The bonus discount for breakfast at a local restaurant was unexpected, but great!

The motel reminded me of the motel in my home town. The owners were nice and friendly. There was some ice out front of my room, I struggle with balance issues so i was a little nervous about slipping. All in all I would stay there again.
