Cabin was very cute. Chairs in the living area showed some wear and one of the jets in the tub was not working properly. The cabin is quite a ways out and there were many deer to look out for on the drive in at night. Overall it was a very nice and comfortable place for the weekend.

Weekend getaway
My husband and I are always busy with work and the kids. We needed some us time. It was perfect! Close to Fredericksburg, yet set away from the hustle and bustle. We really enjoyed the garden tub and the views! Mike and Kay were so helpful and sweet! We will be back!!!

What an amazing stay. Wish we could've stayed longer. The views are breathe taking. The owners are super friendly and accommodating. Wildlife is abundant. Everything you could possibly imagine the hill country to be and more. Can't wait to book the next stay.

Adorable Cabin. Jacuzzi Tub. Beautiful area.
We had a lovely stay! The cabin was adorable. The 'jacuuzi' tub was a little small but it's intimate. Make sure to turn off the jets before you drain the water.... :) The area was beautiful and the view from the pool was breathtaking. It is under new ownership, so it is no longer a bed and breakfast. The new owners are so nice and very responsive. Overall it was a lovely experience. Highly recommend.

It was exactly as advertised. We rented a small cabin basically to sleep in and made day trips around the Hill Country. We loved the location, and the peace and quietness. We would definitely do again.

Very cool little cabin in the woods! They went out of their way to make you comfortable with little things like q-tips, make up removers, coffee cream in the fridge, full size coffee maker and coffee, the bed was a pull out sofa but had a memory foam mattress that was very comfortable, we slept great, maybe a little too good as we overslept and checked out late, we called Desiree and she was very understanding. We would definitely come back. The views from the pool are AMAZING! The main house is in need of repairs and updating but that really doesn’t matter as the quiet and serenity at the cabin make up for it. We highly recommend the property if you’re looking for rustic with charm.

I didn’t like the fact that it was out in middle of nowhere.i was led to believe by ‘Expedia’ that there were no vacancies in Kerrville area, when in actuality, there were numerous vacancies.

loved it
Long over due vacation, cut short but the stay was great. I plan on returning soon. I would recommend to anyone that doesn't mind getting off the beaten path. If you trailer anything call in advance, parking is limited. I can't sat enough good about this place. It fit us well. Secluded, quite, rustic, romantic, clean.A++++++

Great little Cabin!
We had a great stay. The cabin was so nicely furnished and tucked away from noise and traffic. It was very peaceful.We really enjoyed the visit. The owner did a great job of taking care of the cabin. Thank you!!

Cozy and nice place off the beaten path. Stayed 3 days. Cleaning staff came early the second day, we were barely getting up so they didn’t coming back at all. Not even the next day. There’s a dog on the property that’s worse than a rooster! The sob starts barking first thing in the morning and won’t shut the hell up. The property is very cozy and can be a great little romantic get away if you don’t mind some the nuances.

Terrible place--never again!
It is not a hotel; the building was an old shed with a one-room plus bathroom interior. Building outside was moldy-looking with blackened parts of the cedar/pine wood, flimsy. No chairs inside the room. Had to sit on bed to watch TV. Was stung by something crawling on bed (inside my palm) and my husband was stung by a similar object in the leg. Burnt out light bulb and no coffee available until we called and requested some. Outside of building nothing but old dead wooden small trees and shrubs, no view. Porch had 2 outdoor chairs that we used as chairs inside the building. Two donkeys walking around and coming close to steps. Three steps to go onto porch, bottom one was broken and delapitated. No window coverings except for roll-down shades. Bathroom sink was galvanized wash tub-no sink in kitchen. There was a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker, some dishes, but no pots or pans. No cook top.

Another great stay
We have stayed here for a couple of years picking kids up from camp. It has been wonderful every time. The location is lovely, out in the countryside. You can see every star in the sky at night. It is wonderfully quiet and restful. The kids loved the house. Highly recommended.

Window unit AC couldn't keep up with the Texas heat. Tiny room without a comfortable chair. TV gets one channel- FOX.

This is our smallest room, hence the smallest price. We have larger cabins with sitting chairs and other extras, but offer this small cabin for those on a budget. There are 2 chairs on the porch you can move into the cabin if you do not want to sit on the stools at the little eating table. The TV has 135 channels including Starz and Encore. The instructions on working the TV were in your welcome basket, along with my telephone number. I would have been happy to help you work the TV. I have never had a complaint about the AC in the cabin you stayed in, as it is usually set to a higher temp when other guest have checked out; but I will certainly check it out. I wish that you would have called. You could have had a more enjoyable stay and you might not have felt a need to trash me on the internet. In the future when you stay somewhere else, you might want to call the owner or front desk with any problems, as they can probably help you out! Give them a chance to make things right for you. If you don't say anything, they can't fix any problems you may have.

Rustic yet delightful
Very rustic but delightful. Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed having a pool which was very nice and the whirlpool tub in our cabin. Very Scenic and secluded. Able to see lots of stars at night. Grill was provided right on our porch and they even included charcoal and lighter fluid. Very spacious room with comfortable bed and full-size refrigerator.

This was not at all what was advertised. It was far more remote and it was more like a cabin. Lots of spiders. No breakfast anymore. We had a power shortage from a storm and apparently lightening struck the well pump, causing it to fail. We had no water for 3 people. The person in charge brought us 2 buckets full of water to pour down the toilet to flush it. Needless to say we did not stay. A refund would have been appreciated. The reviews that brought us to this place were not accurate. Would not recommend this place.

Perfect quiet getaway
Great stay for a quiet vacation. Delicious homemade food every morning with wonderful hospitality. A great balance of seclusion with the ability to go into town (Kerrville and Fredericksburg).

This little place is awesome. My girlfriend and I went for a couple nights and fell in love with it. If you're looking for quaint relaxation, this is the place. We're already planning a return trip in the summer because it is so perfect.

Quick Anniversary Road Trip
In the wilderness cottage. Private and secluded. Well kept up. The amenities they provided were nice and appreciated. The home cooked breakfast was exceptionally tasty and plentiful. Problems discovered we're that we couldn't connect with WiFi (Omni 9) and there were no chairs to sit on. Not an easy place for a disabled person--such as my wife with Lupus. A very unusual but interesting place to spend the night---memorable!

Run down cabin in an over grown woods
We arrived at the end of run down neighborhood road. Trails end is on a side of a hill and the picture showed a beautiful pool overlooking a valley. Just what we wanted! However, it's not what we found. The pool did over look the valley. It was behind a abandon house with covered up windows, plastic over some of them. A broken down fence with a sign reading " do not enter" and the trail that lead to it was behind another abandon building with step up and down decking and no lighting to see the path after dark. The pool was old and neglected, the chair and tables were spread about the concrete. There were two planters with faded silk flowers, half had blown away obviously from years past. The towels were stuck in a painted garbage can, and the protective wooden rail were broken and held up only by the wire! The grounds were very neglected and bush grew right up to the back porch. There was no veiw or breeze. No ice, no people anywhere which was funny because when I booked it the add said "one left". There were goats in a pen. Someone had hung one sting of lights at the porch, over 3 other strands that had burned out years ago. They didn't even remove the old ones.we have stayed in cabins all over the hill country for 35 years. This is our first disappointment.

nice rental houses w/ "hotel staff" near Kerrville
This hotel offers many different guest houses for various purposes. We shared the bigger house with our mom and sister and had a great time; could imagine many kinds of groups enjoying this house with a decent kitchen). It is a little bit of a drive to the downtown part of Kerrville (~20 min) and longer if attending the Folk Festival. The stars are really nice here too. The management are very good about accommodating requests although this really isn't a hotel so much as it is a group of older rental houses (rooms/houses are basic but nice). It is a very quiet property and can be a little challenging to find at night. Didn't use/see the pool while there but did enjoy seeing livestock from the house's property. Overall, this is a great place to detach and disappear from it all (staff largely stay away and don't bother you which may or may not be what you are looking for).

The name describes it
All I can say is that the "positive" reviews of this dump must have been written by the staff and their family members. Just about all the negative reviews were on the mark. Emailed directions to the property were very good and necessary. However, once you get to the property, there are no directions to find your specific cabin. Cabin could use some major re-work. Stained concreted floors are ok IF they are maintained. Cobwebs in the ceiling corners show lack of thorough cleaning. Bugs feel right at home here. Bring your own bug killer. There is nothing that resembles a bathroom vanity. No plastic cups for use in bathroom, but that is probably a good thing. Bring your own, at least you know where they have been. Our cabin was not for the claustrophobic. The one window was painted over and if you open the door, your view is of a 6 foot wooden fence. I give the Room Comfort category a 2 only because the bed was fairly comfortable. Book this facility at your own risk. What's the old saying? "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me". Needless to say, we won't be back.

Hidden Gem in the Hills
We arrived there after sunset; hence, it was very dark so when we got to the entrance we just called the owners and asked for directions to our cabin which they very politely answered. The cabin we stayed in was very clean, everything worked as expected, and the Breakfast was exceptional. The grounds are similar to being in a heavily wooded area with small trails to each location. As a storm came through on the following Saturday night we were comfortable as the heavily wooded area provided a nice canopy to break the high winds and the heavy rain was no threat to the building we had rented. I have already made future reservations as the big Five Star Hotels are nice but this place had such nice character we decided to stay here again.

This place was cute, cozy, accommodating, and service was great. Several miles out of town, in a pretty area, quiet, with a room that had a Jacuzzi and lots of glasses and dishes. Breakfast was huge, delivered to a table outside the door of the room, where we ate and looked into a courtyard. I thought hotels.com was only good at finding chain hotels, but I saw some cute cabins by rivers in the Texas Hill country and called one of the numbers when I found I couldn't book same-day (this was a last-day stp on a 5-day trip and I had deliberately left the last day flexible).Hotels.com 's operator found this place for me.

Time away from the city
My wife and I had a great experience. Room was clean, staff great, more food served at breakfast than two people could eat. This is a retreat out in the country away from city lights and traffic. Deer are all over the place. My wife and I had absolutely zero complaints. The site meet our expectations.

Amazing Place!!
My boyfriend and I was looking for a nice, quiet place to spend the night after floating the river and going to Oktoberfest. This was the perfect place! It was quiet, room was lovely except the bathtub was in the room, and there was an abundance of wildlife to look at! I also liked the fact that breakfast was delivered to the room.. we didn't have to get up and go into a lobby or dining area with all the other occupants.

Off the beaten path, but worth the trip
We decided to get away for the weekend and wanted to stay near Fredericksburg. The cabins at Trails End provided a nice, quiet and private reprieve from typical hotel accommodations. The owners provided a nice personal touch which included hot breakfast delivered daily at 8:30AM. If you want to escape to the country and not be too far from the city, then this is a great choice.
