It's fine for a night
Full of noisy Frenchman on a Friday night. Food was ok. It's a value hotel. Don't expect the Ritz. You get what you pay for. Parking off road. All a little run down and sad but staff are nice and it's close to Dover and the tunnel.

Value for Money
Very clean hotel and pub in Sandgate, ideal for Eurotunnel. We had a room with double bed and large bunk beds for the kids (10 & 12). Very basic but comfortable and very clean. We decided to eat in the cosy pub but we're disappointed that they only served Sunday Roast even though they had the normal menu displayed on the bar. When ordering we were then told they only had 3 meals left at 6pm! They sorted something out for us and the food was v tasty but it would have been sensible to ask us at check in if we wanted to eat if they had limited dinners. Breakfast was fine though i would suggest visiting the local Tesco instead especially if u have fussy kids as its £7.25 regardless of what u want.
This hotel was very comfortable the management and staff were very friendly the pub was welcoming even with dog. I would recommend this hotel for a nice break away
Our car had broken down and we were towed to our hotel about 1.30 am. From the word go they helped us out, with finding a mechanic, giving me a lift to get the car. Very grateful. The beds themselves were a bit noisy and could do with better mattresses, but the service was just amazing.
The room was in the attic. It was a good size with a large bed. There was a kettle with milk, tea and coffee and 2 small bottles of water. The bathroom was large but the shower was a little primitive and could do with some upgrading. It was difficult to get the right temperature. We had asked for a quiet room, but as it was above a pub, people were laughing and speaking loud below our window, as it was a hot evening and people were sitting outside.

Overpriced in my opinion. Room was spacious and well decorated, but the bed was lumpy and I had a terrible nights sleep. I had booked and paid for an English breakfast for my wife and I checked in. The following morning whilst eating our breakfast, it became apparent that the previous nights staff had not added us to the breakfast list. But the embarrassing part for us was when the staff member announced to everyone in the dining room that 'we were eating another guests breakfast' and then to be asked again in earshot of everyone 'did you pay for breakfast?' Definitely not a hotel I would recommend!
