“Perfect for pre cross channel ferry stop”

Ideally located for ferry stop overs, petrol stn next door and but 5 mins from terminal. Restaurant on site and though we planned breakfast on the ferry the evening meal we had was much above expectation and above a hotel priced in this range.

“Just the job”

Stayed here to break up the journey before crossing over the channel. Great location for that and the service was very friendly, the rooms were clean and well-equiped and restaurant / room service menu was very good. Couldn't fault it.

“Not exciting, but does what it says on the tin..”

An uninspiring building all on one floor, though with some steps along the corridors from the reception to the rooms. Having a cash machine in the hotel WHICH DID NOT CHARGE A FEE to use was a positive, and there is a McDonald's restaurant 5minutes walk away, without any main roads to cross. There was an Indian-style buffet dinner offered on one evening and this proved excellent, as it wa cooked using proper recipes cooked by an Indian chef - not the stuff one gets in an Indian Takeaway which has been Anglicised.

“Great Layover for a Cruise”

Check in was awesome.. The hotel is very nice. We had no problems just there for one night to catch a cruise ship. Very accomidating. We wish we had stayed a little closer to the terminal, but the money we saved made up for the taxi cost. There is a great little indian restaurant behind it on the main street.

“Good value hotel in a convenient location”

The hotel staff are very helpful at the Ramada and they quickly rectified a mistake with my booking. The food in the hotel restaurant is of very good quality. Breakfast is average and to be expected with such a hotel, but is fresh and well replenished. Overall, I'm not sure how the hotel gets a 4* rating and gets away with such low prices. You could argue that the overall standard is 3-4* but whats the point when the price is so reasonable and the quality is good. This hotel would suit a business traveller with a budget in mind...

“Nice hotel”

Hotel was very nice and staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable and much nicer than expected. Ate in the bar and food was nice with very generous portions. Ideal place to stay if planning an early morning ferry trip. We would definately stay here again.

“Would stay again.”

Great hotel, very friendly staff, very nice rooms. Doubles for a family of four are hard to find anywhere in Europe. Also a nice pub a short walk away, and the best fish-n-chips anywhere, next door to the pub.
