“Good value hotel in a convenient location”

The hotel staff are very helpful at the Ramada and they quickly rectified a mistake with my booking. The food in the hotel restaurant is of very good quality. Breakfast is average and to be expected with such a hotel, but is fresh and well replenished. Overall, I'm not sure how the hotel gets a 4* rating and gets away with such low prices. You could argue that the overall standard is 3-4* but whats the point when the price is so reasonable and the quality is good. This hotel would suit a business traveller with a budget in mind...

Jus try the mushroom tempura starter and filet steak main course- absolutely delightful!!

“Comfortable & good food.”

A comfortable hotel suitable for elderly and disabled as on ground leval with just few stairs in certain areas. Ate in restaurant and bar, food excellent, they have a curry buffet on Friday nights very good. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Easy access to surrounding attractions and ferry terminal. Would definately return.

“Needs Improvement”

problems with room lighting. Hotel offers Free WiFi - Good, BUT, electrical receptacles would not accept universal european adapter. Hotel did not have any adapters available. Simple omission, but poor concern for the customer.

“Value for Money waypoint on a journey to & from the continent.”

The hotel offers good modern accommodation, a relaxing atmosphere, good food and a bar service. It is value for money. Its location is perfect for the motorist taking a business or leisure break in Europe.

“10 minute drive from Ferries but comfortable and friendly”

I really liked the hotel. The staff were very friendly and especially good at giving directions, which is good because even with the google map directions, the place was difficult to find. It's a ways away from the ferry (about a 10 minute drive) but the area is good (fast food, pubs and a tesco nearby). The rooms were nice and there are small rabbits that play in the parking lot and grounds.

“Would stay again.”

Great hotel, very friendly staff, very nice rooms. Doubles for a family of four are hard to find anywhere in Europe. Also a nice pub a short walk away, and the best fish-n-chips anywhere, next door to the pub.

Walk to pub and get fish and chips next door. This hotel is a short drive to the port for cruises leaving from Dover.

“OK hotel but too far from Dover Castle”

The hotel was OK, way out of town though and not tourist friendly. It lost power and the concierge was really unpleasant. Breakfast was good though.

“Useful location”

Hotel was in a useful location, definitely recommend it if you are sailing early like we were. There was a function on that evening and one lady was complaining to reception that she had specifically requested a quiet room and she had been given one right next to the function. Luckily we hadn't thought to ask for a quiet room but got one anyway. Just something to think about when you are booking.

“Great Layover for a Cruise”

Check in was awesome.. The hotel is very nice. We had no problems just there for one night to catch a cruise ship. Very accomidating. We wish we had stayed a little closer to the terminal, but the money we saved made up for the taxi cost. There is a great little indian restaurant behind it on the main street.

“very pleased”

Exceptional hotel experience lovely staff very helpful at all times....very quiet at all times room with everything you need and very clean.....cannot fault a thing.. did not eat in as was put off by some reviews....but beware only four tv channels unless you want to pay extra....but with wifi free.. brilliant...lots of space for parking.....go for it you will not be disapointed

Dover castle steeped in History a must to visit....Also the western heights for equaly lovely views and history.....decent shopping in town ...Morrison do excellant meals.....short drive to Deal and Walmer castles....3 days does it easily......
