We wanted to check in at 2 p.m. (official check-in was 3 p.m.) and were told there were no rooms available. Really, not a single room is available one hour before check-in? The desk assistant also was dismissive and unhelpful. Our room was not adequately stocked with paper goods, and the breakfast was lacking, 1 coffee urn was empty, another was completely cold and the OJ was out.

Your front desk person “Meka” was the highlight of our stay! She greeted us so warmly when we arrived, went out of her way to find us two drinking glasses (I hate drinking out of paper cups), and offered us a bit of historical facts about Jacksonville and it’s waterways. We couldn’t have been more pleased, we believe she deserves a raise! The fridge in our room (320) didn’t work, otherwise the room was fine. The breakfast was pretty bad, to be honest. Eggs with absolutely no flavor, and the thinnest bacon known to man! As we deposited our keys to leave the building, there were two women behind the front desk. They saw us leaving, nothing else was going on, but never said a goodbye, hope you enjoyed your stay, or anything. Too bad Meka can’t work around the clock, as she made us feel special. -Rick and Ellen Strauss

Easy access to Highway but noisy on the street side from all the traffic. Hotel has sulfur water which was a turn off for us.

We like staying here when we are visiting family ….the only thing I did not care about this time were the pillowcases did not smell the freshest 😞 And the bathroom amenities were limited.

The location put us within 2 miles of the places we had to be at. A big plus was due to illness we had to check out a day early, no charge for the next day, and the clerk was very caring. The thing we didnt like was the room looked out onto the roof and was close to the elevator (noisy). We will consider another visit.

The staff was fantastic, personable and went above for customer service. The rooms were large, clean & spacious. The beds were so comfy and I was able to have excellent sleep while away from home! During breakfast- another guest made 10 waffles while a line of people were waiting and the milk ran out at 9:15. The staff said they could not bring out more. She did offer to get me another cereal I was requesting but it was pointless if they didn’t have milk. I understand not being wasteful- but it’s frustrating when breakfast is expected to be served between 6-10 and there’s no milk, oatmeal, 2 containers of yogurt and hardly any muffins. I know that staff cannot control poor behavior of other guests, but it would’ve been nice to be able to have a decent breakfast after waiting for an extended period just to find out they were out of many items and it was still ample time before it was over. Other than that- the stay was great!
