Best Western Amador Inn
10/10 Excellent
"The girls in the office were extremely sweet and helpful. The breakfast and coffee in the lobby were a huge plus. We were only there over night but I’m definitely planning on coming back!!"

Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Heavenly Village Area

"Good amenities. Complimentary breakfast. Reasonable price."

Hilton Vacation Club Lake Tahoe Resort South
8/10 Good
"The property is great. It’s clean and at a good location. The stuff at the check in center is not too friendly. The big change from two years ago is that they charge $30 for parking and valet parking only. It’s not convenient at all."

Best Western Plus Rancho Cordova Inn

"The most important thing is that the shower was working well and I didn't experience the water suddenly getting cold. The most annoying thing was that on checkout day, someone from Housekeeping was knocking on the door at 9:09 am, even though I had put out the "Privacy Please" sign. I explained to the person that checkout time is 11 am and that they should come back then. ...and so as you can imagine, it was extremely frustrating when again - someone from Housekeeping was knocking on the door (five minutes later) at 9:14. I don't know if it was the same person, but it doesn't really matter because if the "Privacy Please" card has been put out, no one should be knocking on the door until 11 am. Expedia lists Checkout time as 12 noon. At check-in, Best Western tells us that check-out is at 11 am: this means that the room is paid for through 10:59 am. No one from Housekeeping should be rudely knocking on the door, trying to pressure the guest into leaving early. Pushing the guest out early is giving that person an experience where they aren't receiving full value. The earliest that the next guest would be checking into the room would be 3 pm. There should be plenty of time to clean the room. If there isn't, more people need to be hired, or there is some other problem. This is not the first time I've had this problem. I know other guests have had to put up with this as well. It would be great if management as well as Housekeeping fully understood this issue."

Station House Inn - Near Heavenly Gondola
6/10 Okay
"I only saw one employee during my stay and the was the lady who checked us in. She was kind and helpful. The hotel has a lot of potential, but it seems that it is not being very well maintained. The pros: We were offered complementary drinks, s’more kits and discounted tickets to the private beach. The cons: The carpet in our room needed a good, there were a lot of large stains. The shower floor looked as if it has not been cleaned in a while. The drain in the sink and the shower were backed up. The fire pit and furniture were covered in melted marshmallows from previous days. I wanted to like this hotel, but I wouldn’t stay here again."

Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa

Murphys Suites
8/10 Good
"Average hotel, above average staff, with delightful quirks. I loved my stay here last weekend. The hotel appears to be average at first glance. The rooms are large. Love the separate living space from the bedroom. The furniture was comfortably worn-in, but serviceable. The cleanliness was very good! The staff were dog-friendly and loved my pittie Bruce every chance they got. Parking was easy, and access from parking to rooms is good. The hotel is walking distance to downtown Murphys Main St., where there are many restaurants, shops, and wine tasting rooms. I think it is an excellent value compared with other local hotels. What makes this hotel better than the rest is its quirks. The lobby displays the Lee family (owners) history and outdoorsy artifacts. There are taxidermied bear, fish, and antler displays to enjoy. It reminded me of an Alaskan hotel lobby. They offer fresh-baked donuts delivered to your room each morning YUM! Or you can opt for a breakfast burrito. They also have soft-serve ice cream at the front desk if you like. Bruce loved it! Everyone went out of their way to make me and my service dog Bruce feel welcome and appreciated. This has become my go-to hotel in the Murphys area."
