Our room was freezing. Had the plug in heater going all night but you could feel the cold from outside. Never warmed up and we didn’t sleep only 3 hours.

There is no real staff. The dining room is closed, has been forever. The food is awful. We were served molded green parmesan cheese over an awful dish that was supposed to be a red sauce. Green cheese, and not even a discount or comp at dinner. Disgusting. Our room looked nice, good view, charming, till night and no heat whatsoever. Then the bed broke because the slats supporting the mattress were cut too short. I actually injured my shin. We moved ourselves to another room. After all that, instead of a refund, I was offered an electronic gift card for 50 bucks. This place was expensive, and I paid more for what was supposed to be a better room. Don't eat there, for sure! It's a charming, once magnificent, inn, that hasn't been maintained and is clearly just trying to get by until a new owner steps in. Amazing view of Fourth Lake from the rooms. Too bad it is run so poorly.

I’m sorry you feel your stay was not accommodated sufficiently. I would like to respond to your concerns. 1. The dining room is closed when it’s not busy, we serve meals in the tavern, this is not an uncommon practice. 2. We remade your dinner and provided a 32 discount on the wine. 3. An extra blanket was brought up to your room. 4. We provided instructions upon request regarding adjusting the heat in your room or using a portable heater in your room. 5. The bed was used in such a way that the slats were dislocated. I’m sorry if your shin had a small bruise as shown in the picture provided. Moving to another room Id always an option and encouraged if needed for any reason. 6. Three staff were available to assist you until 10:30 PM (as we are an inn with limited services and not a hotel). One of our staff assisted you through dinner to the time you went to your room, even bringing the blanket up to you that was left downstairs. Of note, we also received a 5 star review today on Google. Perhaps a remote “inn destination” is not the best choice for your vacation going forward. You mention that the price you paid was high. The cost to operate an inn in such a remote location in a volunteer fire district, with significant vendor surcharges for goods and services is a factor in how we must price rooms. Again I apologize and wish to continue to offer you a 50 transferable credit.

Such a beautiful inn and the view- WOW! We wanted to love every aspect of this place but the guest service was lacking in fact, non-existent. In our two night stay we never saw a person at the front desk. No one checked in on us or welcomed us to the inn. We did arrive very late and they were very accommodating with that though. We did meet a woman who we think may have managed or owned the in. But she did not introduce herself nor ask who we were or anything about us staying there. It was not a cheap stay and I would have liked some attention at the very least followup after our late check in. The town must be very safe as all the doors to front and back of the inn seemed to be unlocked at all times. We would give it a five star for the property and the inn. But a one star for service and hospitality.

The property was very nice a nd lent itself to a very relaxing get away for us. It is not overtly fancy and the amenities are sparse but clean and functional. Management was pleasant and very attentive. The one thing I disliked ws that the door to the room and the bathroom would not stay closed unless locked. There was also quite a large gap under doors so privacy was not as complete as it could be. Nonetheless, if you are looking to get awaqy from it all, this is a great location. Gorgeous lake front, food was surprisingly incredible! Wait staff was so very nice and pleasant.

The hotel is historic, and that also means it is old, so it shows its age in places but is nonetheless a lovely and comfortable place to stay. A low-key charm that isn't fussy. Definitely go out to the dock morning and evening!

Beautiful old place, well-kept, but in need of some upgrades. You can’t beat the location and lake view. Our room required climbing four flights of stairs from street level and there’s no elevator. This should be made known to guests before they commit. Dinner was excellent and service top notch. Best meal we have had in the area in years. Wifi worked very well which was a lifesaver because phone and cell service was impossible. Reportedly there is a new tower being built to address that.

This is an old inn with no elevator but beautifully situated on Fourth Lake with a beach, dock, lawn, restaurant, kayak rentals, a fun family-friendly pub with karaoke and pool for the teens. I've been coming for years and love it--walk to town beach, the ice cream shop, coffee and cafes. It is a bit dated but very clean and tastefully deocorated in ADK style. Very good for the money.

We had lovely stay. The property was great location as it is right in Inlet. The only complaint is that our room adjoined with another room and there was about a 2” gap at the bottom of the door. We could hear everything from the adjoining room.

Loved the setting. Comfortable, friendly, attractive. I took a swim, calm and refreshing. Friendly people. Wonderful food - we liked it so much, decided to dine in again. Even on the third floor, we were comfortable. Your young man, Parker was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We’ll be back.

Absolutely love it!
I absolutely loved this place. It's so charming with the antiques in the parlor and dining room and the lovely porch to sit on and enjoy the lake. I felt so comfortable here like I was visiting a welcoming home or grandma's cottage. It was raining when we were there so we only walked on the dock and did not enjoy the lake water. The room was very clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. It was quiet. I stayed with my college age son. We walked into Inlet to enjoy shops in town and found a short but steep hike nearby to see a great view of Fourth Lake. The Inn was a nice change of pace from the different AirBnBs we usually stay at. It actually felt more low key and relaxing and had so much more charm and character. The staff here were very friendly and accommodating.

I want to preface this by saying, the event space looks spectacular; beautiful lake view and what I can only imagine a grand wedding venue. The staff in general were helpful, though we had very little interaction. The bartender in the pub was super fun! She was busy though able to juggle all that was going on. The food was good though nacho bowl was served cold with (melted ?) cheese as a garnish (could not have been more than a couple of tablespoons), not all hot and gooey. Beet salad was more of a spinach salad garnished with beets. Yes, we did share with the bartender who said she would let the chef know. The twin beds were some of the most uncomfortable we have ever slept on!! Think high school beds back when you were in high school! We didn't share with staff when we left, there was no one at the front desk. This said, I believe others who are thinking about staying here should know about the beds. The pub was super fun, highly recommend it in spite of the food issues. The view down at the lake is certainly worth a sunset cocktail.
