WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! Key to somebody's room!
I got to this hotel, the front desk person was so new it appears as though he didnt know what he was doing. I ended up getting my key, i had to ask if there was wifi. Only to get to the room and a man was naked on his bed IN THE ROOM I WAS ASSIGNED! I was so terrified I flew back downstairs and demanded a refund to leave that place. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! The front desk person did not even apologize!

I am sorry for you bad experience. We had a new hotel staff and we will make sure nothing like this ever happens. We also were very accommodating on previous 2 nights reservation that you made and did no show up. We did not charge you. again, I am very sorry for what happened.

It was definitely clean by my standards. In this price range especially. My problem with this Palace Inn is the hotel across from it. They'll let anyone stay and do whatever they want.

Minor improvements for happier customers
Everything was excellent, but a few thing could have been better. Everyone in our group mentioned: 1. Bedspreads need to be heavier & washable. 2. Maids need to rub shower-heads w/vinegar monthly to remove calcium. 3. Minimum of bananas & packaged oatmeal at breakfast. 4. Consistent room rates; people booking later got better rates

the night check in clerk was incredibly rude. I booked this because my 22 year old missed his flight in Houston, the clerk just kept yelling at him that he didn't have a reservation, even after we gave him the itinerary number. He yelled at me when I got him on the phone. He told me he had NO reservations, really? a hotel that has NO reservations? he demanded more money than we had reserved for, my son had no choice but to pay -- since he had already spend $30 on an Uber ride to this hotel. I called Travelocity customer service, there wasn't much they could do. Very disappointing.

This was at 2:30am. Guest came in said I have a reservation and it was already been paid on the website. We looked at our account and did not received any reservation. We offered him room but he keep insisting that it was paid online. then after while he got text from his mom that she checked credit card account and it was not paid. then only he decided to pay with card he had. I am sorry that this happened, guest also can not be rude toward us too.

The owners were rude, very short with us. The room was clean but simple things like a TV remote were not provided, there was no blankets just a super thin over sheet.

Can you at least clip the cockroaches wings?
When we arrived the clerk was so rude because it was so late at night. He acted as if it were a problem to deal with us. After having been on the road traveling for more than 12 hours we were exhausted and just wanted rest. We walk into our room and there are 3 HUGE flying cockroaches in our room just posted up on the bed. I am completely disgusted by this time and I asked for a refund or a sanitized room and the man laughed in our faces and said “No refund!!! You stay here you stay in that room. Only room I have.” That was clearly a lie since we were one of the 4 vehicles in the parking lot.

Excellent Hotel
I don't normally give reviews of things, but I gotta say I was just very impressed by the Palace Inn. The room was spacious and the price is excellent.

Nice large room. Comfortable bed, very clean. The only issue I had was the price but compared to other locations it was the cheapest I could find. Not bad for a two star hotel.

Quite pleased to find the hotel had been completely remodeled. I've stayed in pricier hotels that weren't as nice. Only drawback was in spite of having a refrigerator and microwave in the rooms, there was NO COFFEE MAKER? That would have made everything perfect, but I WILL Stay here again!

Having worked in hotels before, my first thing was to examine the room for cleanliness. It passed the test! The staff was very helpful from front desk to housekeeping. I would reserve another room there if needed.
