“Extremly Nice Hotel”
Hotel was great, that the price was awesome too!
“The hotel with no food”
Check in went smoothly; the lady at the front desk was friendly & courteous. The decor in the room was creepy (sketches of baseball players staring at you from everywhere), there was dried blood on the toilet handle, the tv did not work, the coffee maker was broken & you could not open the blinds, which isn't that bad since the view was a construction zone & the Hilton across the street (wish I had stayed there). Knowing that our plans would keep us out late, we looked at the room service menu (we booked here because the hotel advertises a gourmet menu served 24 hrs) & see that the later it gets the more the menu shrinks. We called room service at 11:38pm to order from the 11pm-1am menu (a variety of soups, salads and sandwiches) & were told all they had was ham sandwiches & house or cobb salad. 5 minutes after placing our order we get a call back saying all they had left was cobb salad which consists of lettuce, tomato, ham, bacon, & blue cheese; when I asked if it could be altered as I am a vegetarian and my companion has a mold allergy, the lady said "no, they are pre-packaged". The one perk I booked for was a bust as the hotel had no edible food. The evening valet was rude & wandered off leaving us sitting in our car for 10 minutes before telling us we needed to lock the car & give the key to to desk clerk. Said desk clerk made us wait another 10 minutes & we had to repeat what we needed 4 times before she got it. Basically, we should have stayed at the Hilton.
“Nice hotel -”
First off - it's a nice enough hotel. A few misses around the edges kept it from being a home run. The decor is baseball themed, but with luxury in mind. The rooms are large, spacious, & well maintained. I didn't use any of the amenities, but it seemed to include everything I'd expect. The service was friendly, but a bit off the mark a couple times from what I would expect from a luxury hotel. They also have a few odd policies that are apparently tailored toward the baseball game crowd (no coolers, nightly security deposit, etc). None of these were deal breakers for me, but things to keep in mind if you are traveling with a family or planning an extended night stay. If you are in Houston for a baseball game - this would be a perfect spot to stay. If you are here for another reason - just keep in mind the hotel's core purpose and you should have an enjoyable stay.
“Nice”
Hotel was nice, valet was high($24).
“Convienent & Overall Great”
We were attending a concert at Minute Maid Park and it was convienent with not having to find parking just walk across the street to your hotel. We would stay here again.
“Can't wait to visit again”
This is by far the best hotel I have stayed at. Beautiful rooms and terrific bathrooms. Staff was very friendly and the room service was outstanding, Great food and great location. I absolutely love this hotel!
“Great Place to stay!”
Needed a hotel that was cheaper then then conference hotel to stay at, and Inn at the Ballpark impressed us. Cute Baseball themed decorations and great front desk service. Restaurant had great pizza, that was not on the menu, but the front desk people cued us into it. Only complaint is that free shuttle was often not available or took forever to come. They need more then one shuttle.
“Great Downtown Stay!!”
The pictures on the website do not do this hotel justice!! My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed this hotel and would recommend to everyone. We can't wait to come back during baseball season so we can spend more time at the hotel....eating at Vic & Anthony's and enjoying a good baseball game. Great Hotel!!!
“Houston Deal”
Inn at the Ballpark was a wonderful hotel and all the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that there was no parking available except for expensive valet parking.
“Very Classy and Walking Distance to Downtown”
The hotel was very clean an modern. Loved the design of the room. We walked each night to the bars and walked to our event at the Toyota Center. They also have the best steak house next door. Service was very kind and helpful in helping us outsiders find the good spots.
