Convenient for an overnight place to crash.

Posted 29-Jul-2014
Very convenient to the airport. Clean and comfortable. No good views or restaurants/entertainment nearby. Very helpful, kind staff. Quiet, good for an overnight layover. Order a pizza in to your room and relax for the next leg of your trip.

Quaint, old hotel near airport

Posted 24-Jul-2014
Nothing fancy, but clean and convenient to airport. Only one small restaurant close and little else to do in the area which has been taken over by industry. Staff and shuttle were very accommodating and friendly. Convenient to rental car facilities. Three stories with no elevator might be a problem for some quests.

Overnight stay

Posted 21-Jul-2014
Pros: It is simply furnished and fresh with no cover-up air fresheners or scented cleaners (linen, upholstery, etc.).
Cons: Placement of a small nightlight leading to the bathroom for patrons who wake at night to use the bathroom.
Location: Location near the airport with shuttle service excellent for one night stay or layover and there is little or no time to do things.
It was a very busy weekend in Hawaii - a check of hotels near the airport with free shuttle service to and from the airport done a week before we traveled showed very few available in the reasonable price range. The reviews posted were very discouraging, but to our delight, we found it to be quite the opposite. It was clean, no odors, quiet, and comfortable. The room rate was decent as it did not include extraneous amenities that are not needed for one night stay or short layover between flights. The staff were courteous and helpful.

Happy daze in Hawaii

Posted 15-Jul-2014
Pros: Has a complementary shuttle bus and is close to the airport. Complementary brewed coffee in the foyer in the morning. Clean & comfortable.
Location: Hotel is in the middle of a light industrial area, however it is very close to the airport. Not much else around the hotel. Take a bus to Honolulu.
To order the hotel shuttle bus, phone the hotel from the airport by using the free hotel directory phone near the Hawaiian Airlines baggage pick-up; phone #62; then meet them in the car park close by. The hotel is in the middle of a light industrial area and reminded me of motels (in Australia) of the '70s & 80's. However it was very clean & the staff were friendly and let us check-in early at around 13.00hrs. The room and bathroom were small, but very clean. The fridge and wardrobe are at one end of the bathroom. The a/c was a little noisy but after about 30 minutes the room was cool we turned it off. The ceiling fan was all we needed after that to stay cool. We had a twin room & the beds were comfortable. If you are arriving late or flying out of HNL early and want an inexpensive place to stay for the night, then this is the hotel for you. We had an early flight and the hotel is about 10 minutes from the airport. I'd stay here again.

One of few choices at the airport

Posted 14-Jul-2014
Pros: location
Cons: Air cons could be split rather than window units.
Location: Industrial area close to the airport with absolutely no store, restaurant or anything else within short distance. Come, sleep, catch your next flight.
Rooms are small and equipped only with very basic. Very noisy window air con did not work (in my past trip air-con worked some) but may be turned off. Beds and towels are clean. If this hotel is close to similar size US airport it would not stay in business if room is over $30-$40 per night. In Honolulu always full for 3-4 times more. Capitalism, I guess.

Layover Hotel

Posted 13-Jul-2014
Pros: The airport shuttle and the close proximity to the airport.
Location: The hotel is located in an Industrial area, and there are a lot of homeless people around that bother the guests. Not very many things to do.
The hotel was close to the airport, and was the cheapest. I experienced no problems during my stay. If you want to stay close to the airport, I would stay here again.

surprisingly nice

Posted 01-Jul-2014
Pros: price, convenience and hotel staff
Cons: it's an old building but paint was new
Location: Near to the Harley Davidson Shop and a Wendy's.
Check in was speedy and efficient; room was small but just fine for a quick overnight trip. Close to the airport and Pearl Harbor Memorial; taxi to memorial was $20 and free airport shuttle (driver was very pleasant). Unwound in the lounge where the bartender was very friendly and funny; she never left us thirsty. Don't be surprised when you see it is in the business district. It was safe and quiet in the evenings. The pool furniture was a cheery orange and the foliage was trimmed. They were sold out the night we were there.
