"Lovely stay in The Grand, York with friends. Beautiful hotel, helpful staff and lovely food. Also used the spa facilities which we really appreciated after a long day of taking in the sights."

"Great location near to city centre and train station . Beds comfortable and a wonderful shower. Able to leave cases after check out to collect later. Would definitely return. Didn't use bar or restaurant so can't comment but bar looked ok, with view over the river. Supermarket nearby."

"Hotel is conveniently located to historic York. York Minster is a 15 minute walk. Main inconvenience is that there is no hotel parking. "

"Good hotel, liked our room and how close to pool area it was, only grumble was they didn’t service our room after 1st night so we didn’t have towels to use but this was put right "

"I was very happy with the hotel and staff. room was perfectly adequate with plenty of tea and milk, something lacking in other places iv stayed, very clean all around the hotel, always greeted by any member of staff with a hello at any time of passing. The biggest plus was the price, £40 or £50 cheaper than any similar standard place within a long distance. Excellent effort and nice to have stayed there. "
