"This was my second time to Penrhos and this is rapidly becoming one of my favourite places to stay. The level of finish in the accommodation is exceptional and the attention to detail such as board games, items in the kitchen and basic supplies such as milk and butter are lovely touches. There is loads of space in Lodge 7 and it is my favourite lodge out of the 2 I’ve stayed in so far. Friday night we went for a meal in the cattle shed. "We only had a few nights at the Motor House, while we attended to some business locally, but would have liked to stay longer! Absolutely splendid accommodation. Lots of space, beautifully set out with everything you might need. Beautiful location too. Very quiet with great views all round."

"Great secure location for dogs, Peaceful in the evenings. Took two Huskies who like to be the leaders of other dogs and they got on well with their dogs too. Ragland Castle is worth a visit. Chepstow castle was a bit disappointing, rude reception women and half of it was closed for repairs with no mention by the reception women."

Unfortunately at the moment there's a lot of room for improvement and the price didn't reflect that. The cleanliness level was not brilliant and the space was extremely cold. "The property was immaculate and well equipped. The host, Jane was extremely friendly and helpful. A quiet peaceful spot with chickens and sheep wondering around on the common land outside the enclosed garden. My only criticism is that the staircase was steep and difficult for me but it didn’t spoil our stay. I shall recommend to friends."
