There were ants crawling around in the bathroom. Shower head was not seated properly and sprayed everywhere. AC unit stopped working midway through. They fixed it but did not clean the area around the unit including my bed which they apparently placed the dusty AC unit on. Not a good experience.

Absolutely disgusting place to stay,would never recommend it. Firstly, arrived and had informed me that they had then given my room away “ as they didn’t think I was coming ” receptionist said it is a risk to follow a confirmation booking. I also messaged the property twice stating that I would be arriving and for information about check-in. Followed on to say that if I wanted a room there would be an extra cost to what I have already paid, even though they gave the room away that I had already paid for. The staff was very unhelpful and quite rude. Had the attitude that didn’t want to help and tried to send us after their sister hotel. That wasn’t even answering the phone. we eventually got into a room and was greeted by bedbug all over the sheets and mattress where I got bitten alive from there also was blood stains all on the duvet, dirt left at the side of the beds and on the floor. The towels were all stained and was flies everywhere. As well as all of that, the air-conditioning barely worked and was dripping, the building work was all broken and falling to pieces, the location as well is so noisy. The music does not stop till about 4/5 am. Would never recommend here!

Friendly and helpful. Property is kind of old and need improvement on the rooms environment sanitary. Very disappointed for without water on the first day checkin. We forced to move out to another hotel. We should have reserved for only one day instead of 3 days in a row and lost the money and distressing time in the first day checkin. I would not recommend traveler to stay in this hotel.

I always try to book this hotel whenever my friends and I visit Vietnam since of the friendly staff and how close it is to everything. They really take care of you and make sure you get everything you need for your stay to be enjoyable.

Close to the Action.
This hotel is a very good hotel right in the center of the entertainment area, the staff are friendly and helpful, the room i had was clean, the only negative i found with this hotel was it was a bit too close to the entertainment area, even though i was on the 5th floor, the thump thump thump of the techno music being blasted out from the bars on Bui Vien st could still be heard, but if you do not mind loud music, then this hotel could not be any closer to the action.

Hotel was perfect, clean, tidy etc. Location very good - very central, ideal for exploring - we walked everywhere front desk were very helpful, we contacted them prior to arrival and they helped us booked trips and taxis However, hotel was on main club strip, with lots of bars and clubs playing music into the night. It was very busy at night (really quiet during the day), we could hear music very clearly in our room despite being 6th floor. We werent affected too much but others clearly would be AVOID IF YOU WANT A QUIET ROOM hotel perfect just be aware of noise issues

We had a decent stay. If you are looking to stay in the viby, backpacker area - this hotel is ideally located. Comfortable bed, good aircon. There are many bars in the area, so it can be noisy at night. We were quite tired though- so we slept right through it. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great room, great staff, very clean. But VERY VERY LOUD. The bar/club across the street plays the loudest music in Saigon, and possibly all of Asia. No joke. And the music goes until 3:30am. So its great if you want to party until 4am every night. Otherwise, AVOID THIS HOTEL.

Overall nice...but things to consider
We had an overall nice stay. The people working at the hotel were very friendly, and there was a beautiful rooftop view of the city. My boyfriend and I wanted to take a couple-day trip to the Mekong Delta area (specifically Can Tho), and the hotel concierge helped us arrange travel by bus (our preferred method of transportation). The only aspect of our stay that made us rate this less-than-5-stars was some sort of issue that we were encountering with the toilet. It would frequently make some strange gargling sound and the toilet would start bubbling (imagine when a pot of water starts boiling). This would happen even when we were using the toilet (which you can imagine isn't super pleasant and sort of concerning). Nothing ultimately went wrong, but we were sort of on our toes the whole time, wondering whether the toilet would start flooding or something. We even put our suitcases on the desk just in case... One other thing to consider is that if you stay in the room on the first floor with a view of the street, it will be loud until late hours of the night / early am hours. Not a huge concern if you are one of the people who is not in your hotel room at these hours, but might be a concern if you want to sleep before the early am hours.

Friendly staff in the day time. In the evening they electricity goes off, meaning you have no air con or power to charge phones. Ours went at 11pm we enquired about it and was told it goes off most evening's and will return about 6am by an evening staff member. Our phones went dead due to no power meaning we had no alarms for the next day. The noise is unbearable. It feels like a dj is in your room until til 3 / 4 am. Breakfast was disgusting, I ordered an omelette it was riddled with grease and half cooked.

Staff are the only ok thing about this hotel. Rooms are dingy, curtains stained. Room is a decent size and bed okay comfort however you will not be able to sleep due to extremely loud music being played from many bars/clubs outside. On check in we were told ‘if it’s too loud we can offer a white noise speaker to help’ therefore staff are aware it’s impossible to sleep. We used the speaker but even with this and earplugs we were still able to hear the music that goes on until 4am. Do not stay if you value sleep at all. If you are planning on staying out drinking until 4am every night this is the hotel for you.

Good hotel in busy location.
We stayed at the Meraki for 4 nights. The location is right on the main backpacker road with lots of bars and restaurants, however, as our room was at the back of the hotel we didn't get too much noise. Location perfect for younger travellers looking to have easy access to the nightlife. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the helped us organise two tours out of the city and a taxi to the airport all at a pretty good price which we paid on checkout. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, but nothing flashy. Breakfast on the rooftop was basic but absolutely fine. Overall if you're planning to stay in district 3 this hotel is a decent option.

This hotel is worth the price you pay. The place is clean and bathroom is nice. If you're room is at the front of the hotel then you would need to get some ear plugs to sleep well. Other than that this is a nice hotel. Will stay again if I'm in the area

Beware Exteremely Loud Stret Karaoke!
Exterely loud Street Karaoke starting at 1am at a nearby street cafe made it very difficult to sleep. We anticipated noise from local bars and clubs but we're not prepared for this! Rooms at rear of hotel may be quieter.

Great location right on the main strip, can be loud on that street but the walls are good and block out a lot of the street noise. Breakfast was on the rooftop and had amazing views. The gentleman at the front desk was super helpful and his English was extremely good.

My short 4 night stay at this hotel was a little over two years ago. They were overbooked and sent me to their sister hotel for the first night. It was a nicer room than what I ended up with at the Meraki. The hotel is on the main tourist entertainment street. Small rooms, reasonably neat and fine for the price. I can't recommend it as my friends stayed just up the road and had a nicer hotel with a rooftop bar for a similar price.

They cheats on guest with the photos. The hotel is very dirty, especially the beddings. I don't think they ever change sheets after each guest. Another problem that it has a very strange smell, like there was a dead rat in the hallway during our stay :(. I brought this issue up to the staff but there was nothing done to remove the smell. If you are looking for a nice and quiet place, this is NOT a place for you. The hotel is located near the center of the city and in one of the most dirtiest and loudest spots. All the bars and food vendors are all around with loud music and you cannot walk down the street without their employees trying to pull you into their establishments with their over priced menus. The night will get loudest from 10pm to 3-4 am. On Saturday and Sunday night, the road will be blocked from vehicles for ppl to party all night long. The hotel provided breakfast however the selection is very limited and you will get the same thing every day. There are many things I want to say but it's not worth it. Just stay somewhere else!!! The staff was nice and accomodating though.

A bar street hotel with alot of noise!
This is a short stay hotel. The staff were excellent and understand they regularly deal with people like me who prefer a quiet nights sleep. This is NOT possible over the weekend as the street becomes a large party sense with live stage shows. Better suited to young than us older guys! *light sleeepers beware*

Good hotel for price you pay
Hotel was great for what we paid. Great location at the end of Bui Vien street (it is noisy at night which was fine for us, but for those looking for quiet this isn't the place!). Breakfast was nice, good selection of choices - was nice to eat up at the rooftop (plus you can enjoy a drink up there at night as well). Staff were so friendly and helpful. Hotel overall does need a little TLC, but overall very clean. One thing we have to mention - wifi is TERRIBLE.
