I liked the location of the hotel. It was easy to get in and out of the parking lot. I like how it was within walking distance of down town. I would stay here again.

We asked for a rollaway and the 5th person in our family and it sucked !!! No support and finally took the mattress off and laid it on the floor :( but that was better than having the bar in the middle of your back

Good for one night
Just a night stay. Room was fine but the night stand lights not working to turn off the lights. Had to unplug from the wall. No refrigerator as I thought it was in this hotel because other super 8 hotel I stayed had one. Other than that good dinner food in town.

We stayed two nights with plans to visit different areas of the Black Hills. We chose this hotel based on location and were not disappointed. It is located in the heart of downtown Hill City and it was very easy to walk to everything we needed. It was easy to get to off the highway and parking was good. It is a dated property and could use some attention. The breakfast was somewhat disappointing especially when compared to the pictures on the counter at check in. We used the pool and there were no towels in the pool area so we used the ones from our room and then were scolded for not getting "pool towels" when we asked for new towels. If you have towels for the pool, then put them in the area or at least have a sign. We would stay again just based on the location.

There was only one staff member on shift. He smelled like marijuana. The “breakfast” was gross and didn’t look like it their standards for cleanliness were very high. The same lady who was cleaning the rooms was managing the breakfast foods and I don’t think she washed her hands between the two jobs. The walls were paper thin so we could hear other guests very easily (hard to rest at this hotel). The showers were intermittently cold. Love the location of this hotel, but it was clearly not managed well. We will chose a different hotel if we return to the area.

Price was good compared to others in the area; staff was friendly; not a big selection for breakfast; pool and hot tub were a little gross- the staff did drain, clean & refill the hot tub; water pressure in shower was good but cold in the evening- we had hot water again in the AM; we had no microwave or fridge but that was my fault for not reading the description well enough; they are a pet-friendly hotel and I think some rooms were smoking because there was a “smell” in the building; we didn’t hear any animals but there was a gal complaining at the front desk about the dog in the room next to hers; overall clean beds, bathroom, towels, etc; we liked the location as it was close to everything downtown so we could walk

Comfy little room
Nice one night stay in Hill City, SD. The room was small without a microwave or fridge which was a minus. But the bed was comfortable enough to sleep well after taking a dose of NyQuil!

One of the beds' sheet had a stain, very ugly and disgusting, but my wife got a wise way to make it acceptable for the kids to sleep on; the staff was nice and suggested a room near the pool, so my kids loved it :). Thanks staff (suggested me a good place for buffalo meat as well; kids and wife and I loved it); thanks again staff.

The property was old and run down. Our room was small and stuffy. Found bugs crawling on the bed and floor. We did appreciate the free breakfast and swimming pool and spa. But had to be quiet in the pool area after 9 pm.
