Where to start?? mmm, if you do not like to read long reviews let me try my best... BOOKT IT!!!!
this is what is called now a boutique hotel, to call this hotel "4-star historic bed & breakfast" is like calling a
luxury brand new car an "appliance"...or a wagon... or... you got the idea, this is at least a 5 star-gran turismo, hotel, the staff; Angeles: Cleaning, Sergio, Roberto and Carlos: This guys will help you from check-in to room service and all in between with the BEST attitude you can find EVER!!!!!! and Chef: Alfonso ( his cuisine is outstanding), a being in resorts and hotels 5 times more expensive and the closest i can remember is the 4 seasons in Santa Fe, new mexico, and even there, service is probably short against this one.
This hotel and every one of these Villas Archeologicas are my favorite in Mexico. This place is very clean and beyond safe. Theres also a mini strip of drinking joints next door that are also safe and mello. Lots of loose dogs wandering around though. (I saw them doing some scratching so stay away) Parking is included in a lot that closes it's gate at eleven. The rooms surround a really sweet courtyard with a small but nice swimming pool. One downside is the beds ain't the softest and are in these kind of porticos that person six foot plus may be annoyed with. Didn't bother me but some may not dig it. Excellent restaurant and the staff are very helpful and always polite. I don't care if this sounds like a bogus reveiw but for the money these hotels are always the closest to the ancient Mexican sites. Totally the one to stay at.
I have stayed at CityExpress hotels before and always found them ideal for my requirements on business trips. The City Junior Puebla Finsa is located across the main Puebla to Mexico City highway from Volkswagen. Finsa is dominated by Volkswagen and all of its hundreds of suppliers. This is a business location with lots of traffic noise, traffic and industrial buildings. To its credit the design and construction of the hotel manages to filter out about 90% of the highway noises.
I liked the state of the art security system in the elevator. The doors will open but the car will not move without your specific entry card. And it will only give you access to the floor where your room is located.
My room was compact. Everything had its place. Rather like being on a 40' yacht. The bathrrom had a water saving toilet. Great idea. The shower was super. So often hotel showers dribble water on you. There was plenty of hot water and strong pressure. A 32" LCD TV with lots of channels lacked High Definition. Bed was comfortable but then I am used to Mexican beds being a bit firmer than the beds back home.
CityExpress hotels offer a complimentary breakfast. The staff was courteous. I will be back!
If you have a car, and don't find anything cheaper anywhere else, this may be a good choice. 15-20 min drive to downtown. Hotel is clean and the staff is quite friendly. The breakfast limited, but nevertheless clean.
I normally do not leave reviews (when I know I should because they are so helpful) but I had to leave one for this hotel. I don't think I have ever had such an awesome stay at a hotel like this one. The staff is incredible!! They helped me with every request. It was my son's birthday that weekend and they made it very special for him and me. I am very happy with this hotel and will definitely stay there again. Its a lovely hotel! Luckily I had a car to move around but I noticed that they always had taxi's sitting inside their facility to move you around. Once again staff very helpful and FRIENDLY!!!!! Highly recommend it!!!!
