The location to the downtown area was perfect. The hotel itself was pretty clean. The bed was pretty beat up. the pool area was an eyesore (off season?) The staff was fantastic! Would I do it again, yes.

It was convenient to downtown . The room smelled fresh and everything was nice and clean. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was good. We will stay on our next trip. Kudos to the new management for making great improvements!

This property is an old under-maintained facility and also under new management. Rooms are showing their age. Work in on-going tio update the facility. First assigned room did not have a latching door or a door lock that engaged. Toilet in second room would not flush and had to be plumbed after first use, worked fine remainder of stay. Breakfast is a minmal selection but adequate. Staff is welcoming and ready to assist whenever necessary. A big thank you to Shannon for welcoming use and getting us settle on the first night.

I don’t normally seek out to find things wrong at a hotel I try to look for the positive. But I have to say something about this room. The property was very conveniently located by everything but the actual hotel can use a little TLC. The inside of the room had a stagnant lingering smell like the room hadn’t been kept up with cleanliness and there wasn’t any air flow from the window unit. The bathroom sink stopper broke and the water wouldn’t drain properly. Wash cloths were not present neither was a linen bag. These are basic amenities and for almost $300 I expect the bare minimum of simple items. There’s more I want to say but these were the main problems.

The room was in horrible condition. Dry vomit on the floor. Black mold on bathroom ceiling. Pile of toe nail clipping at the foot of the best. Requested a full refund and checked out. I have pictures of all.

Flooring in room leading to bathroom was torn leaving sub flooring and carpet nails exposed. The safety locks on door were broken. We moved chair in front of door and was thankful we were only there for one night and booked with another hotel in town.

First key cards didn’t work. Ice machine broke. Room phone didn’t work. Smoke detector was removed. The water sprinkler dripped onto the bed. Had to play with the TV to get it to work. This hotel is in need of a full makeover and new management

Check in was at 3:00. We arrived at 4:00. Got into room at 7:54! Four hour wait. Door frame is missing chain lock. Part of Door frame appears to be a shoddy replacement. Different wood from rest of frame. Will not stop forced entry and is unsafe Shower curtain rod was torn from wall and improperly repaired. Afraid to take a shower since shower curtain is likely to fall down TV can not be used. It cannot be connected to cable. Manager tried to reboot TV with no success. Then Manager suggested we use our private phone to setup local WiFi hotspot and maybe the TV can connect to that. I declined. This is by far the most disappointing experience with a hotel recommendation by Expedia.

We ended up leaving and could not get our money back. Our room and bathroom was not clean and the sheets looked like they had laid in the dryer for a couple of days. The clerk was so nice and said they had other rooms but they had not been cleaned. We went to Best Western and stayed a couple of nights. The clerk said she would text the owner and see if he could refund us something. We have not heard from him and we assume we lost our money. But I have never left like that but to me it was dirty.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Dirty. Sink did not drain properly. The sheets were stained, looked unwashed. We had to go get “cleaned ones” ourselves and put them in ourselves. The bathroom had mold. It was a total disaster…

Won’t stay again
We were put in room 102 and it smelled horrible. I actually got an instant headache. We asked to get a different room and the front desk lady was very nice about it and moved us to 106. That one smelled like air freshener so better. But my fiancé was actually looking and considering just getting a room at a different hotel and eat the cost. I would not recommend it. We didn’t even take a shower the next morning because it was so gross. It definitely needs updating. It is a great location though. Walking distance to everything downtown Helen but I will not be staying there again.

The location of the property is great. Walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Didn't have to worry about finding a parking spot in downtown Helen because of the location. The staff was friendly. The room was updated and perfect for our needs. Would stay here again.

This property was a completely disaster. First en we arrive to the room the sink was stuck,the water doesn’t go thru,we report this ando nobody come until 3 hours ago .and the maintenance guy didn’t know how yo fix it.The room was extremely dirty.But the worst part was the night .When we where ready to sleep insects star to come out from the sheets and mattress,it was horrible .We travel in a family with to kids and there where full of bedbugs.My husband have his left hand full of bights and like a rashes.We go to the reception and requested a refund at 12 am with two kids we left this hotel .That was the worse night of Christmas Eve .DON’T GO THERE.

Love that this property is so close to all of the restaurants and shopping. Easy walk. Check is was very easy and the service was great. Room is very neat and updated. We had a very good stay. Would stay here again.
