“good spot”

Good spot for going to events @ performing arts center, little bit of walk - but is walkable which is nice after an event - miss traffic, walk back, have a cocktail, get a good nites sleep.

“USMNT”

Came for USMNT game at Red Bull Arena. Easy walk with cops literally on every corner. Shuttles to EWR and Newark Penn Station. Very clean and well kept. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!

“Great hotel, easy access”

The hotel was great as far as service, maintenance of the hotel, and cleanliness. We were in town for a concert and the front desk was very helpful in explaining how to get to Red Bull Arena. The room was very clean (including the bathroom!) and it had all the necessary amenities. The surrounding area is a little rough though. It is the perfect hotel if just passing thru or if you're in town for a specific event.

“"Will return in the future"”

I got two rooms for one night. We were attending a concert at Red Bull Arena. The hotel was a 15 minute walk to the Arena. Much better than being stuck in traffic for hours! The rooms were very clean, comfortable, cool and quiet. The complimentary breakfast was OK. They were making homemade waffles. Didn't get to eat any, but they sure smelled good!

“If I had to go to Newark again, I would definitely stay at this Hampton.”

The hotel staff was extremely helpful with everything. They shuttled us to dinner and back and to the Prudential Center and back. They were always there when we needed assistance. Very clean hotel, great breakfast and an overall great place to stay. I highly recommend it.

The staff recommended going to Tops Diner. Wow what a place to eat. They give you more food than you can imagine. If you get a daily special, share it ... it is way to much food. It is all homemade food. Excellent place to eat!

“Lovely hotel”

The hotel was well maintained and the staff went our of their way to make sure our experience was pleasant. The had a complimentary shuttle that took my party and some additional friends also staying at the hotel to a restaurant in Newark. They picked us up as well. This service and perk from the hotel was outstanding! I would absolutely recommend this hotel. We used the pool and gym. The bar was staffed and had comfortable seating and complimentary breakfast was just what we needed after a party the night before.

“Nice little spot!”

The hotel was really convenient when we attended a show at the Prudential Center. The room was nice, the pool was a warm bonus in February. We would have been happier if the hotel bar was open- it was not open yet when we checked in at 5:30 and it was closed when we returned from the Prudential Center at 11:30. This was on a Friday night. There is nothing safe or even open in the area, so be prepared to spend the night in your room. Make sure you request the river view. You will only look out at an industrial harbor, but that's better than looking at the street.
