Pros: staffs are nice, friendly and helpful. Self-check in available. The room is nice. Cons: not close to any attractions or public transportation.

Overall a good stay. No booking received from Expedia so we had to hang around in the lobby for 30 minutes to check in despite having our confirmation of booking. A free beer whilst waiting showed willing however. The room and facilities were absolutely fine and very good value for money.

Good things about this hotel: the A/C could get nice and cold! we stayed in 2 hotels while we were in Hamburg, and this one definitely had the better A/C. The hotel is decorated "funky" which you may or may not like, but the bed was comfortable, the shower had nice water pressure and was hot, the place was clean. We added on the daily breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised. Good spread with coffee options, tea options, scrambled eggs, deli meats, cereals, croissants and pastries, breads. There was even a vegan section if you needed that (we didn't). It was nice to just go down and have a hearty meal to start your day of exploring the city. The area of the hotel is a bit industrial, and it's on a busy street. Our room was not ready early, but the hotel was happy to store our luggage for us until regular check in. They also called a cab for us to go to the airport, and completely understood our need for a "larger" cab due to me traveling with a bicycle in a travel case. I would stay there again.

Cool place at a decent price
A very cool hotel with neat decor. I really enjoyed the breakfast, and especially the coffee machine. There is a bit of a walk to any restaurants or sights, so be prepared for that. Also, the walls are a bit on the thin side - I could hear a cell phone vibrate in the room next to mine.

No Complaints with Hotel
I was in Hamburg for one night. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the train station. I was able to walk to St Nikolai Church/museum in about 20 mins from the hotel. Everything else I did, I took the subway. My room was comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and hot water. No AC, but the temp was such that it was not needed. No fan is available at the desk, either. There didn't seem to be very much in the vicinity of the hotel in terms of bars or restaurants, altho you can get drinks in the hotel. Breakfast is available for a charge, but I left early in the morning and ate at the train station.

Style Over Substance
My stay here was disappointing. Looking at the website and the photos, it seems like a stylish and fashionable hotel that would impress for the price. However, you quickly realise that, despite the modern colours and style of the reception area, too many things are not what you expect for the price. There are some very basic things missing and which could be easily improved to offer a high standard of customer service, which is currently not being offered. The rooms are clean and tidy, without doubt. However: 1. The rooms are too small with virtually no wardrobe space 3. The beds are almost too hard and the pillows far too flat 4. There is no telephone in the room - if you want reception, you have to go downstairs 5. The food offer is minimal and low quality and the breakfast is too expensive for what you get 7. The politeness and helpfulness of the staff is variable - some are friendly; quite a few others give the impression that they don't care about their customer. 8. There are too many rules and restrictions and, whilst I understand the reasons for them, they make the stay less pleasant e.g. you can't take drinks from the bar to you room, if you want an iron, you have to pay a 20 Euro deposit (and, incidentally, carry it up to your room yourself from reception) 9. You have to fill out a detailed form on arrival for every person staying and sign a disclaimer about hotel rules 10. Various bits of signage give a poor impression because they seem flippant and rude

Bright, new, and clean. Retro modern look is unique. Really good value comparing to older lower cost hotels. It's a bit of a distance to the Hbf, but if you plan for it is a reasonable walk. Buses are nearby. Very English friendly. Hotel bar is open late, and large seating area doubles as the breakfast area. Given the location and the high quality of buffet breakfast, we recommend adding breakfast if not already included.

We had come down to have a bite to eat, but the food bar wasn't going to be open for another hour and the front desk had offered to heat up the oven and make our food right away! It was great how there wasn't anything to do at the check out. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Hotel was quite handy to Metro but also couldn't find a lot of eateries handy. Clean and staff friendly but not sure if it was our room on 6th top floor whether we had the air conditioning motor right above us but there was a drone all night. Had to take a sleeping pill to get any sleep second night there.

Serious lack of closet space
The room looks great, very modern and colorful, but there is practically no storage space. No closet, very few shelves and hardly any hooks to hang stuff. I had to live out of my suitcase for four days and shove it under the bed so we could still walk through the room. Maybe OK for one person, for the two of us it was awful. Location is not bad, fairly close to the train and subway station, but there are no eateries or cafes nearby.

Nice enough hotel for the price. It's about a 10 minute walk from the city center and about 40 minutes to the Reeperbahn. Room kind of had a funky BO smell going on and the room is definitely small, but there was enough room to get around and do what we needed to do. Staff was extremely friendly and nice. They do have onsite parking but it's €15 a night so keep that in mind. Also, breakfast is €10 per person, but didn't feel like it was worth the cost compared to other places in Germany that I've received free breakfasts at.

Clean as it's relatively new, but didn't feel like there were problems associated with that. Good location only a few minutes from the station. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Staff were polite and well able deal with my limited German. And the colours just make the place feel fresh and bright. I followed up by staying in Prizeotel Hamburg and the concept translates really well. Very happy.

Why no linen in in beds
Excellent brand new property all good except they have a bad choice of bed linen. Their idea of linen is rough fabric with elastics on side which can cover the beds. Rest all godd with free wifi. Close to Stadrtrad cycle stand. Also a short bus ride to hbf ro 10 minutes walk.

Excellent hotel, good price
Booked at the last minute for a business trip. The area where the hotel is located can't be called glamorous but it's a good base to stay Located a short taxi ride from Hauptbahnhof Central train station (or a 15 minute walk). Can't fault the hotel. Feels brand new, staff very helpful, parking, free wi-fi, bar, air-con in rooms. Good breakfast and good value. And if the photos make it look colourful and bright - you better believe it! There isn't a shop anywhere around so if you forget some toiletries like me you're in trouble. Suggest the hotel stocks some or installs a vending machine. Next trip to Hamburg will definitely stay here.

Unglaublich enttäuschend. Abgeschlagene Wände, gelbe Flecken auf dem Teppichboden. Wir haben 150€ die Nacht gezahlt und dafür ist es wirklich unglaublich schlecht. Frühstück für 16€ haben wir auch bereut: wenig Auswahl, Rührei wie Pappe. Nie wieder…

Leere Seifenspender, defekte Fahrstühle, kein Papier im Quittungsdrucker - kann alles passieren. Was nicht passieren darf, ist unfreundliches und desinteressiertes Personal. Ein Minimum an „Bitte“ und „Danke“ oder sogar „Entschuldigung“ bei Fehlern darf nicht fehlen. Und die Zusendung eines versprochenen Ersatzbelegs sollte nicht nur versprochen werden, sondern auch tatsächlich erfolgen. Sorry Prizeotel, für den ersten Eindruck gibt es keine zweite Chance. Ich komme nicht wieder!
