Close to the airport.

Pleasant hotel near the airport. Efficient Suttlebus every 30 minutes to the airport, about 10 minute drive.

Clean, quiet, close to airport and S-bahn

Posted 11-Oct-2014
Very clean and quiet hotel with free shuttle to the airport. Rooms are quite large. Given how many less expensive hotels have free wifi, I think this should be offered, too. Front desk was very helpful. We were able to use the S-bahn to get into town. Some basic shopping is also nearby.

Nice friendly staff and close to the airport

Posted 26-Sep-2014
Pros: Near airport, friendly and relaxed
Cons: Easy access to the shuttle bus and info on arrival to the hotel via expedia booking sheet
Location: 25 minutes by cab to the city centre
The staff at reception and in the restaurant were really friendly. My no smoking room had been smoked-in and I was quickly move with no fuss. Dinner was remarkably nice with some vegetarian options that was important to me. The airport info desk had directed me to walk to the Leonardo Lodge which I wouldn't recommend to anyone and found that I was in the Leonardo Hotel at the other end of the airport. The receptionist got me the shuttle bus to take me to the airport. Breakfast has a strong German flavour, nice teas and a lot of choice.

close to the airport has its drawbacks

Posted 21-Sep-2014
Pros: clean, tidy, and bathrooms sufficiently equipped. staff was courteous and helpful. Spoke English. hotel car to airport. reasonable value for money.
Cons: Adding room extras if room is occupied by couple... Informing guests to keep quiet when sitting in hotel court yard, particularly at night.
Location: Airport hotel, flight path directly above hotel, plane noises vary at night and early morning.. but noisy! Not a great area for restaurants, bars/pubs
Basic clean and tidy room/bathroom. No fridge!! TV, several English speaking News Channels. No facility for renting a film. No spoons with coffee making facilities (coffee/tea bags etc only one of each as well as only one wine/beer glass (double room !!). Mattresses ok. Not too soft, felt rather like water-beds. Soap dispensers needed replenishing. Decent room, but too loud and noisy.... flight path directly above hotel... (room 2nd floor court yard). hotel guests were allowed to sit outside in the court yard hours after midnight drinking, laughing and talking noisily .. as the the noise reverberated, it interfered with sleep at open windows. Temps were around 22 C, and rooms stuffy with windows closed.... Breakfast buffet almost depleted by 9 a.m. No assistance by staff re ordering food ... i.e. scrambled/fried eggs? Decided to look outside hotel for breakfast possibilities, and found them.

Could have been better

Posted 20-Aug-2014
The experience could have been positive. although 4 stars seems to be too much for such a modest place. Still the real problem was that at 15.00 we started hearing loud noises of renovation: hammering and maily loud drilling noises. very annoying. When we talked to the receptionist, the lady explained to us that it should stop, yet she could not tell us when. Not a very emcouraging answer. We needed the rest before a night flight, and the drilling stopped only 2 hours later. It was really loud and we couldn't stay in the room. Poor experience and poor response to our complain.

Spot on!

The hotel was a little further away than expected but the free shuttle sorted that out. Lovely room, super courteous staff! Try to get out to Coffee to Fly for a fabulous cafe experience nearby.
