"The owner has to do the school run but leave her number on the door so you don’t have to wait long. She is really professional, polite and welcoming. Room was comfy and quite with a fridge and microwave in room which is a bonus for longer stays. No parking but a car park is situated 2 mins away and £6.10 for 24hrs is a good rate. "Great for drivers but not for pedestrians! There's a (nearly) lethal two-lane round about to negotiate.... I found a safer route on my third day.... hidden traffic lights are not shown on Google Maps or Michelin!!!!!!????? I had a lovely room. I found that I had to ring to reach someone to check me in. ALSO NOTE ...there are 2 Elm Roads.... this is at Elm HIGH Road about a mile and a half from town, in the locality of Elm. "

"Very conveniently positioned for the hospital, literally 5 minutes around the corner. Toni, the owner was very friendly and welcoming. All the facilities you would need including a fully equipped kitchen. If you don’t mind sharing the house and facilities with strangers and want a comfy and clean stay near to the hospital, then Whitecross House is ideal."

"As far as the stay I honestly couldn’t fault it my bed was super comfy I stayed in the queen suite with shared bathroom it was spotless and warm too Helen had the radiators on and an electric blanket in the bed which was much welcomed as I stayed mid- January. If you do stay in this room just switch the blanket on and wait an hour you might not be able to feel it to the touch but once you get into bed you’ll feel it. There was plenty of tea & coffee plus nice little touches like water chocolate...
