We have stayed here before but this time it was EXTREMELY bad, THEY HAVE BED BUGS!!! The office was opened but no one was there, my key was left at the counter and they switched my room last minute. I had paid for double beds, no one would answer the phone until I ended up calling the cell phone number listed in a card. My room got corrected but the room had been previously slept in, one of the beds was not completely made, there was no hand soap, shampoo or tissue paper. There was a used towel in the shower and used soap. During the night my husband and I started to itch. The next day my husband started showing bite marks consistent with bed bugs, I didn’t notice them until late Sunday night and even more the following day. I have called multiple times and left voice mails and no returned calls. Bad service all around!!!

I had to change my plans. Between Expedia not being helpful and property unwillingness to allowing me to change the date (Called with plenty time in advance) I ended up not staying and paying for the stay. It sucked not to be helped to make things work out!

Room was dirty. Sheets had literal dirt and someone’s hair and stains. Sticky bedside table. Old coffee in coffee maker. No staff at check in or check out. Uncomfortable beds. Could hear all the other rooms.

Very friendly staff and had our room cards ready for pickup when we arrived at 5. Parking was a little tight for larger vehicles. As good as expected. Not very modern.

Cleanliness is obviously a priority to the owner and staff, even the outside part of the property had beautiful well maintained hanging flowers and was free of spider webs. This being the mountains I expected some dirt, webs, pine needles etc. built up outside but it was wonderfully maintained. The inside of the room was clean and comfortable. Yes the lodge is older but there was an obvious effort from the owner and staff to make it as comfortable as possible. From booking to departing everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. It's conveniently located but not in the center of town so we got plenty of peace and quiet. I would absolutely stay here again with my family.

The property was a great location and basic amenities. Very overpriced for the dated accommodations and thin walls and floors. You could hear other rooms conversations, dogs barking and water running. It could use some updating.

The room was pretty clean but ver dated and shabby! The bed was probably the most uncomfortable that I have ever slept in. This combined with a $250+/night price tag made it a terrible choice.

Nice place
The girls checking me in didnt seem like they knew what they were doing. Some confusion about my credit card. The room was great, freshly painted. Liked the sink outside the bathroom. Breakfast only had lox, cream cheese and quartered bagels. Great location.

Stayed here one night for Ride the Rockies. $260 a night! The next day was $180 so they took advantage of the riders. The hotel is under MAJOR renovation which they didnt mention, including the office. The rooms were mediocre at best, def old and kind of dusty. They said they had breakfast but considering the state of the reception area, we didnt bother as it couldn’t be worth it. I hope the Reno goes well as it is needed but they really should have closed the hotel during. It is very walkable to main town so that at least was good. Definitely NOT worth what we paid!!!

NO HOT TUB, AS ADVERTISED
It is a very dated hotel. Oyr room smelled like a thrift store. Bed was ok.Was EXTREMELY disappointed that the hot tub was not in service "because of COVID" only chose this hotel because it had a hot tub. Its almost 3 years out, and you should tell people you no longer have a hot tub. False advertisement. Will choose somewhere else next time.

Grouchy reception, thin walls, off at the edge of town, and way too expensive for what it is. Find somewhere else to stay in Grand Lake.

Much older facility that is not updated. It was clean but all extras like refrigerator, air conditioner etc. we’re unplugged. Took long time to get refrigerator to satisfactory temperature. It was unusually hot outside and it took at least 2 hours to be more comfortable but never really cooled down.

No breakfast at this property. Hot tub was not open. Staff was friendly but overworked. Managers were cleaning rooms. Rooms were ample sized. Good location at the west end of downtown.
