Check in was fast and efficient. Patrick the on site manager was very polite and helpful. The only downside was the bathroom sink did clog and there wasn’t any plunger available for us to unclog it. I would stay again for sure.

The bugs were terrible, as soon as you opened the door they swarmed inside. Tv didn’t work. Dark sidewalks

Thank you for your review. When posting the review please make sure you tell the facts. According to the door code you access the room at 5:52, the at 6:30 my Maintenace guy programmed your tv and you were unhappy that you could not get cable or ballgames on roku. At no time while maintenance was in room did you show bugs to him. Then sir you waited until 830 to leave the property and ask for a refund. At no time did you mention the bugs(which is every year in Ohio) in your room. Nor did you ask to transfer rooms. As we have cameras and I can see the bugs etc. Maintenance spent several hours yesterday to ensure the bugs would not be a issue for our guest. I am sorry that you felt to address the issue on expedia review then speak directly to staff about you concerns. Unfortunately, the residents or business owners in that area can control the bugs all we can do is take precautions. Have a great day

We didn't get a cottage but had a motel room next to the cottages so a little disappointed with how the property was advertised. The staff member that gave me the key was very helpful though and the property is 10 steps from Lake Erie so beautiful outside.

First they check us into the wrong room. Then make us switch rooms the next morning, the rooms were disgusting. I am used to camping and even the tent is cleaner than what we had. Cobwebs, hairballs, bugs everywhere, beds were not clean, looked like someone had already slept in them. The door lock wouldn't work so we had to leave it unlocked the whole time. The door didn't even latch.. you could just push it open. Gross.. all together! Oh and then we woke up Sunday morning to an infestation of bees in the bathroom!

It is my go to when I visit, people are always friendly and kind but could deal with less cobwebs and the steps fixed and not cautioned taped up

Keep in mind the cottages where built 60 years ago. So be prepared for a nostalgic stay. The refrigerator and window A/C units are updated but the bathroom sink, shower and stove are original equipment..i.e I had to turn the gas valve on to use the stove. It had a coffee maker and toaster but no microwave. Some plates and silverware were provided but just one cup lol. The towels and bedding were clean. Bring extra kitchen and bath trash bags, drinking cups, napkings, toilet paper and your own grill. All in all, I would stay here again because it is walking distance to the stip and the only rental in GOTL with a private beach.

This property was filthy. The person who checked us in was rude. The tv did not work. Absolutely horrible condition. We were not given the room that we booked.

Thank you for your review, I apologize I don't remember meeting you. I spoke to your husband and met with him on your arrival. I am sorry that you did not get the room that you booked. Unfortunately, when we have a sold out property and recieve a booking you are placed in the unit we have available. We have recently purchased the property, We will be under going renovations in the fall. The property is old and have a rustic look. The filthy that you are referring to is a shower that is very old. Our staff goes above and beyond to make sure the rooms are clean but, on somethings we can do our best but, needs to replaced to give them a modern look. At no point did your husband express any concerns at all. As property manager I would of been more then happy to address them. I'm sorry that the property did not meet your expectations. Have a great day....

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The people that manage the cottages were absolutely great and very kind. The cottage was very clean and whatever we needed they provided. We will definitely come back next year and I’m sure the year after that.

I know its cheaper for lake-side but still...
We stayed on the motel side in a "junior suite" (room 7), sticky stuff dripped on the floor that was never cleaned, had to flip the futon mattress because there was several different kinds of crumbs all over it only to find sticky stuff on the other side, there was sand on the bed under the top sheets like it was never changed just remade, bathroom light didnt work, empty booze bottles on their private "beach", old broken toilet and junk thrown behind the buildings as youre walking towards the water..... i never leave reviews and we are pretty easy going but i dont recommend this place, obviously a good location but nothing more than that

Recommendation to Hotels.com to remove this fro. Your listing. It was dirty, actual hole in the wall where you can see people walking on the street, stove would only work if you had a match or lighter which either of us smoke and has one so could not cook, furniture was stained and very worn, After taking a shower the water dripped into the kitchen right in front of the stove. Pots pans were gross and really no dish ware. Read previous review which whoever gave it an 8 not sure if they stayed the same place we did. Based on the review and having a working kitchen we accepted the nightly price was high we could not cook there so overspent for food purchases at restaurants and vendors. Cob webs and exposed wires. Just horrible and miserable stay.
