“We were happy with this hotel.”
Extremely clean hotel. No odor in the room. Shower was spotless. Breakfast was good. If I go to Galveston again this will be the place for me. I highly recommend this place.
“Very nice and close to Galveston at a much better price”
New, clean and comfortable hotel with friendly staff. We were only there for the weekend to visit Galveston and this hotel was a quick drive but at half the cost of the Galveston hotels. We'd happily stay again.
“satisfied customer”
this is a wonderful hotel, location and beautiful...wonderful staff...smile
“Very impressed”
I have stayed in several Holiday Inn Express Hotels across the country and have been impressed with most of them. This particular hotel is outstanding. I was looking for a place near Galvestion and the Texas City location was very convenient. The price for a Saturday night stay was about half of the going rate in Galveston. I'm not sure how long this hotel has been open but I felt as if I was the first guest to occupy my room. Highly recommend.
“HI Express always satisfies”
This particular HI Express appears to be brand new. Everything is extremely clean and modern. Tray ceiling in the room, contemporary fixtures (lamps and wall-hung headboards), and even an actual closet to put your things in if need be. Not to mention...each bed comes with four or five pillows...all have pillowcases that are labeled 'soft' or 'firm.' That was something new to me...and a nice surprise. The only odd thing, that didn't bother me at all because I'm not a bath-taker....is that it seems the shower was meant to have a bathtub, but is only a standup shower. Imagine a standup shower...with a faucet sticking out of the wall about a foot up off the floor. It was very strange...but made for a HUGE shower. There's a microwave and fridge with a sink (almost like a little kitchenette) also. I have to say that of the dozen or so HI Express I have stayed in, the breakfast at this one was the worst I have ever had. Breakfast was served 7-10am. We went down at about 830am. The eggs, I'm guessing had been sitting out since before 7am, so they were rubbery (like eggs ya leave on the stove for several hours after breakfast is over at home). The bacon was about half-cooked. The cinnamon rolls - which are HI Express signature breakfast food - were even a little hard. There were no other customers there when we were eating. Maybe they only cook at 630am and leave it out the entire morning? Just disappointing when I really look forward to their breakfast. That's all.

“Very, very beautiful”
