Thank you for your review and for staying at my home. This home is inspected and licensed by our county every year, and the stairway meets or exceeds all applicable safety requirements. Also, I compared the measurement of the height of the stairs to some of the newer homes I rent, and the measurements are the same, so it is no more or less steep than the stairs in newer homes. Also, there are handrails the entire length of the stairway. Likewise, the openings at the bottom also meet all applicable regulations. There is a picture of the stairway on our listing. This review triggered a safety investigation by Vrbo, and after reviewing all the data, they found that the stairs and the railings are in compliance with their safety requirements. In our listing, right near the top, we tell potential guests: "There is a paved and lighted driveway with a parking area just big enough for six cars and a set of lighted concrete steps from the parking area to the home. There are 10 steps down from the driveway to the house. Still, the entire stairway spans over 50 feet, so this home may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues or a desire to have a short walk from the car to the front door of the house." This property has 102 reviews and a 4.85-star out of 5-star rating. The house was clean. It's always clean when a guest arrives. This guest is filing a poor review because they got a visit from our security patrol during their stay, but they caused the problem. A security officer responded to a noise complaint at the house at 2:00am and observed the guest and her party playing loud music outside, screaming and yelling from the upper deck to the people in the hot tub below. They were instructed to shut down the party and go inside for the night. I went to the house the next day, and the guests denied making any noise, even though the officer observed it. They did, however, promise to stay inside the house after 8:00 that night, and they did. There were no noise problems the next night. They didn't mention any issues with the house's cleanliness to me. They also left the place clean and orderly, which we appreciate. Our guest rules are always sitting on the kitchen counter when guests arrive. In any event, it seems common sense that you don't play loud music, scream, and yell outside in the middle of the night.

Thanks for staying at my home and giving it a 5-star review. I'm sorry that the water leak caused you some inconvenience. I replaced the kitchen faucet the day after you left. I would have replaced it sooner, but you reported that everything would be fine for the rest of your stay (it was Saturday afternoon and you left Sunday morning). I'm sorry if I misunderstood you. The guest that left the day you arrived broke the glass on the oven door and we're sorry you couldn't use it, but the new glass panel has arrived from the manufacturer and it'll be installed next week.
