“Fair hotel for the location”

The staff went out of their way to satisfy my needs, after a horrendous experience in another hotel in Freeport. I appreciate their assistance, however, the location of the hotel was not close to the town of Freeport. The International Marketplace was basically a ghost town after the 2004 hurricanes, and unfortunately, there was nothing around to see or do. The restaurant in the hotel closed earlier than noted in the room guide for breakfast, but one of the employees took me to a Burger King for a fast breakfast. That was nice, but, this Castaway was supposed to be a BEST WESTERN...but is no longer owned by that corporation. Too bad. I think that things would have been much better if the hotel was operated by Best Western. Expedia needs to keep up with the fact that they no longer operate this property.

Area recommendations

Freeport is no longer a pleasant destination, unless you go to Lucaya Beach on the other side of the island. It is the ONLY viable area where things are happening.
