Steps to Bus Loop | Hot Tub | Decks | Grill | Group Getaway Ready
10/10 Excellent
"We all loved staying here, and we would again! The hot tub was a favorite feature, and it was HOT. The views are spectacular. So much room for everyone, and the kitchen had everything we needed (although I might recommend upgrading the cookware). We LOVED being able to walk into town and get coffee in the morning. We walked to dinner. We took daily strolls along the Fraser River trail (also walking distance from the house), which is absolutely beautiful! We love playing foosball, grilling, and just hanging out in the common areas, which had ample seating for our extremely large party. We were grateful that there was plenty of parking for our four vehicles. There were plenty of towels and linens. Really, everything we needed was there, and it is a beautiful place. Truly a lucky find in a beautiful place. I'm including some photos from the trail and the view from the upper deck. My only qualm was over the cleanliness. It was surface clean, but grimy. The kitchen sink and showers had scum and pink mildew that the smallest amount of scrubbing would remove. The doors had many months (years?) of handprints on the edges near the handles. Water spots on the glass shower doors. Filmy windows. It definitely felt to me like we were living in someone else's lived in space, rather than a professionally cleaned one with paying guests in mind. A solid deep clean would do this property good and make it a little more inviting."

The Heart of Fraser
8/10 Good
"This property has tons of potential! It’s the top floor of an early 1900’s mercantile store. It cutely decorated and the space is used well. We loved the retro gaming system! There are a couple things worth mentioning that are not noted or at least were not obvious to me. Windows are single pane and original caulking, giving a dirty feel to them. Also, be sure to check them all that they are secure. We had 2 blow wide open in the middle of the night. The property is also located next to active train tracks that run on a schedule past 12am every night. I truly hate leaving negative comments but the noise through the night was impactful and we would not have booked if we had realized as I am a very light sleeper."

"It was the perfect house for our family. 4 adults and a 2 yr old. It was quiet, clean, and situated nicely for activities in the area. Unfortunately, we didn’t know about “mud season” and a lot of things weren’t open. I think my only complaint was that we had to unload a full dishwasher of dishes upon arrival. We ran the dishwasher the night before we left and then hand washed and put away our breakfast dishes the morning we left. Seems like the courteous thing to do. Also, the baby gate was not secure/reliable. We had to move a living room chair in front of the stairway and really keep an eye on our little guy. In the description of the home, it sounded like you should bring your own supplies (TP, paper towels, dish soap, detergent, etc…), as there would only be enough for a day or two, so I did. But we sure didn’t need what I brought. There were PLENTY of supplies for the 4 nights we were there! And they went over and above with a few snacks and full sized toiletries! Name brand, too! Shampoos, conditioners, lotions, and soaps. All in all, great experience and a lovely home! We would recommend!"
