“Amazing resort”

I enjoed the stay at this hotel to the big extreme. The service was great, the room was cozy, the staff was very friendly.

“Good hotel but with too many ants in the room.”

The hotel was good with an OK location but the problem is that there are too many ants in the room & that is pretty annoying. Otherwise I liked the fact that the Trolley Tour passes right infront of the hotel. The room was a bit small. The pool is lovely. There are also two shopping centers nearby having K-Mart, Ross, CVS, WinnDixie, Sears, Publix, etc...

Area recommendations

If there are hotels in Mallory square or Duval Street, it would be more convenient & a walkable distance to downtown area.

Getting around

Key West is not a large island& therefore you can either rent a car or rent a small car that they have over there or even a bike. Public transportation is not dependable.

Must see

Main tour is the trolley tour where you will be able to see almost everything on the island. There are also many water activities such as snorkling, diving, parasailing, etc... but if you don't like water activities then don't spend too many days on the island (2-3 days are enough).

Shopping

Shopping is mainly in the Old Town area or Duval Street where you will find many gift shops.

“A hidden gem”

We were delighted with this hotel, by the check-in welcome (a pina colada and some bead necklaces), by the warmth of the staff, by the room, by the quality of the breakfast, and by the general ambience. We would certainly stay there again.

“Not impressed”

employees were very nice but hotel did not live up to expectations. the room was very small and cramped. It was in a location on the other side of the island from where most of the entertainment (restaurants and shops mostly) was. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if that would be a concern.

“Fairfield Marriott is top notch”

No issues at all about this hotel. I'd stay there again in a minute. Breakfast is super; fruit, oatmeal, coffee, sandwiches, waffels & eggs. The room is clean, staff was very nice and the pool is the best.

“Key West Great Motel Experience”

Great location. Right by Kmart & Dollar tree in case you need to pick up a cooler or something. Minutes from Duvall st main strip. Excellent pool and breakfast exceeded my expectations with a big spread of juices and foods. Covered parking was nice when it was above 90 degrees. Great stay and everyone there was very polite. I was wondering if I should get a place on the water, but it didnt matter. You want to go out on a snorkel or fishing boat anyway to really enjoy the water.

Duval St in Key West is where all the action is. And Snorkel, Scuba, water sports is all in one convienent place in the square.

Family-friendly activities

You have to go on the Snorkel trip. We went on the 2-stop trip. The 3 hr trip was just enough. All snorkel equiptment included. About 50 people go out on a large caterman power boat and you snorkel on the 3rd longest living coral reef. Saw Sea turtle, Baracuda, beautiful fish and plants. Unlimited Beer and drinks included.

“had an awesome time in the keys”

We only stayed at the hotel to sleep and a quick dip in the pool. other than the fact that they were completely out of pool towels and we didn't anticipate that we had an awesome time in Key West. The front desk clerk was great giving us directions on how to get to Duval St. and telling us about local attractions and things we would probably enjoy doing. We had a wonderful stay in Key West and will definately go back, will most likely stay at the fairfield again when we do go.

Highly recommend deep sea fishing and duval street. had a blast and the kids loved it.

“Pretty Good”

Location is only 2 miles from duvall St. so not bad but a bit far, but it was really cheap compared to others of similar distance and quality. Definately recomend if you cannot afford a more expensive place or you want a quiet location

Area around Duvall street, boats and activities are all pretty much there.

When to go

Go in may before summer season but after spring break so it is cheaper, less crowded and perfect weather.

Family-friendly activities

Trip to Dry Tortuga/Fort Jefferson is awsome but a bit pricey for large groups, but worth it

“Would stay again!”

The hotel staff was very friendly from the front door to the breakfest staff in the mornings. The rooms are a little small but they are very clean and the beds are very comfortable. I will stay here again in the future!
