“Can't wait to go back”

Our stay was short, but from what I seen, I will definitely go back to this same hotel when I return. The staff were very helpful, food good, rooms were clean. It is a bit of a drive from the downtown - Duval St, but there is a shuttle at the front door to take you there that leaves regularily. When you returned to the Hotel it was nice and quiet for sleeping. Hoping to return soon to get to see more things in Key West.

Area recommendations

Duval Street of course has lots of shops and eateries, music and attractions, but Key West has so much to do, we need to go back to see more. We also went KeyWestFlatsFishing.com and had a great time.

“Comfortable stay”

Even though the hotel condition is not excellent, the service and surrounding are great, we feel very comfortable staying there.

“Would use this hotel again”

Apart from being located a few miles from the old town centre we found this hotel was clean and comfortable. Free shuttle bus to Duval Street was helpful.

Area recommendations

The Old Town as it has beautiful examples of the early buildings and history. There is a multitude of restaurants in all price ranges and food styles to choose from.

Getting around

Use one of the tourist trolleys or the Conch train to see the sights,the cost is not too expensive.

“Impressive for the price.”

Our room and the hotel's grounds were excellent. Very nice pool area and when we ate at their restaurant the food was good, although I would avoid the breakfast buffet. Shuttle service was reliable and on time, all the drivers were knowledgeable and friendly. The manager was very amiable and accomodating, in fact we got a room upgrade because our room wasn't ready on time. The hotel is close to the airport which causes some noise, but then again its not close to the party area of Key West and its nice to get away from all that.

“Very comfortable”

Very nice hotel. Clean and comfortable. Shuttle service to the "party" is a great convenience. While the staff is most accomodating, a facility map to vending, ice machines, ATM would be welcomed. Fred the bartender is a valuable asset.

“Shuttle was wonderful.”

Positives: shuttle until 11 PM it ran every hour.Shuttle pick up/ drop off from airport. Shuttle to beach, duvel street (downtown), southern most point. If you stay out past 11 pm cab costs about $20 after tip. Convenience store on location for any odds and ends stuff you may have forgot. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurants on site. Air in room worked well. Cookies at check in. Pool was adequate and chairs were always available. room was descent but nothing special. Coffee maker, fridge and blow dryer in room. Outdoor bar. Negatives: outdoor bar only open until 11 PM, not much to do on site after that. Shuttle only until 11 PM. Food was pricey: 2 people $ 30 a meal. They do have a continental breakfast until 11 am but 15$ per person. We actually went to the store and picked up sandwiches, snacks and alcohol to keep in the room, saved some money. Way too far to walk anywhere. The island is only 2 by 4 miles but it is on the opposite end of everything. No beach but key west doesn't have any great beaches anyway so that didn't bother me. Recommendations: take the sunset cruise or go to Mallory square and watch the sunset. Ricks bar has top hip hop/ dance music. Sloppy joe's has great live music and yummy fried food (nothing healthy in key west). Take a historic trolly tour (lots of history in the keys). It is known as one of the most haunted places in the USA, read up before you go. They also have ghost tours if you're into that. Have fun! Get ready to drink.

“Nice Hotel”

We liked the hotel, very quit, great pool and spacious rooms. This hotel is at the quit sit of the island and the hotel has a "easy" Shuttle service to downtown.
