“Good value for a short stay”
This hotel was kept clean and the staff were efficient. The location is handy to the airport and therefore good for a short stay between flights. There is a local bus which runs frequently to Nadi CBD and the bus stop is 1 block away. Taxis and the hotel shuttle are also available at the hotel. The food was delicious in the restaurant. Nice pool area and landscaping. The room was clean and the decor was updated. The only complaint is the internet service needs to be upgraded so a person can access sites without it shutting down prematurely.
“Great stop over”
This is a great place right near the airport (5 mins on the free shuttle bus). The rooms are lovely and the pool area is nice and relaxing. It is in a perfect spot right next door to a fabulous restaurant called Bounty. Will definitely stay here again.
“will definately return”
The Hotel staff at the Mercure were very helpful. The location is perfect and close to all ammenities. The cleaning staff very cheerful and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable, although the airconditioning wasn't the best. But on the whole, a delightful place to stay and I will definately recommend staying at the Mercure in Nadi.
“Probably the best choice if you need to stay in this area”
I stayed for a night since I had business near Nadi airport. This is a nice 3 star hotel with nice furnishings and gardens. It is near a main road but still quiet at night. You can walk to many restaurants and bars nearby. I'll definitely stay again. Breakfast was a bit expensive. I probably should have walked out of the hotel and got something locally. My wake up call didn't happen, but that didn't matter since I set the phone alarm too. The internet scheme in the room has quite complex pricing. If you have your own laptop and dongle then I suggest buying a data sim card at the airport instead of using the hotels own internet. These are all very minor quibbles. Generally this is a great place. I have stayed at a few of the mid-price hotels in this area and I like this the best.
“Really an upscale motel”
This hotel has the lobby and amenities of a larger hotel, but the rooms are really motel caliber (cinderblock construction). There were only about 5 boring educational channels available on the television in the room. Also, I paid for 30 minutes Internet access in their business center, and it logged me off after only 5 minutes. I asked the Manager why this occurred and he told me that I hit the data limit, and that the websites I explored must have transferred a lot of data. These were run of the mill websites and nothing out of the ordinary. The Manager would not refund my money, which I thought was unprofessional.
“Mercure Nadi - fine, I suppose”
Adequate
“Convienent, comfortable, great value!”
As a frequent traveller to Fiji, I have stayed here before and I believe it is the best budget hotel in Nadi. Have tried other hotels in the price range, but they don't compare. You can walk to many eateries from the hotel and catch the bus or taxi outside for a trip into town. Once inside the hotel you do not know you are so close to the main road. Try the Sitar Indian restaurant which is a couple of minutes walk from the hotel or The Saffron in town. The Wishbone is also a couple of minutes walk for a hamburger or snack. For the young (not me) there are bars within walking distance as well. The staff are always great and the rooms are always clean. Will be back.
“Great price, Great Location and a Nice Friendly and Welcoming Atmosphere”
The Mecure is one of the bettter hotels in Nadi if you are connecting to flights the next day or need to stay for a few days. I have stayed at the hotel six times and I personally like the atmosphere and the location of the hotel. The problem with the Novotel and the Tanoa that charge similar rates is they are far from shopping and good restaurants. On the left of the Mecure there is a new shopping complex and a few minutes further there is an excellent Japanese restaurant (Daikoku) and across the street there is Sitar which serves excellent Indian food (try the goat curry). On the right of the Mecure there is Ed's Bar (the most well known bar in Nadi), there is also good Thai, Korean, Fijian BBQ and a American type food restaurants. There is a 24hr service station across the street and I think its nice for the peace of mind, there is also the Nadi Police Headquarters. There are ATM's on both sides of the hotel and taxi's in abundance on the main street. In terms of the amenities and the rooms, its comfortable and more than adequate for a one to three day stay. My only dislike about the Mecure is the ridiculously expensive in-room internet; 2 hours or 50MB equivalent is worth 6.4 stubbies of hotel priced bottles of beer (you do the maths). But if you don't need the internet for work; highly recommend the Mecure for a short stay.
“Fanastic once again - will be going back”
I ahve stayed in the Mercure before and this time was just as good. The staff are great and the facilities are clean. The hotel is close to Namaka, Nadi and teh airport. I'll be staying there again.
“Good place to stay for the money”
For the cost, the Mercure is a great stay. It is clean and conveniently located near restaurants and bars and not too close to downtown Nadi. The only complaints we had were (1) that the air conditioning wasn't working and was just blowing warm air; (2) we paid for a special they were having, which included breakfast and a room upgrade - the breakfast was great, but the room was nothing special and we wondered what the standard room was like.
